I have been having a tooth ache (it hasnt hurt in a week or so) but now its hurting right below my cheek bone. could this be from the tooth ache or something completely different. I wont have the money for a few months to go see a dentist.
Tooth ache. Dental profs. please!!!?
as a temporary pain stopper,I read this and I thought it was a crock until I tried it,try taking a mouthful of Listerine and keeping it in your mouth for couple minutes soaking the affected area,or until pain dissipates, pain will never fully go away, but could be made temporarily tolerable.get it pulled if it cant be fixed due to finances, also if not allergic to anti biotic such as penicillin it could help kill the infection,in turn giving short term relief in about 3 or 4 days when it gets into your sustem.listerine is not meant as a cure, only a temporary pain reliever
Reply:Welcome to the 'humanity'-she says with much sadness and sarcasm. How does a rich nation that can throw away billions on killing people in wars, not take care of its people in tooth pain, that's what I want to know.
As for seeking some temporary help you might want to ask your question in the alternative helath category. There are people there who know things like that.
Me, I'm going to go cry because there are tons of us out here who share your pain and go unhelped.
Reply:But you do need to see a dentist. No home remedy will repair the decay. It will continue to rot and possibly spread an infection (if one is there) and hurt until you get it fixed.
You might have an infection setting in.
Reply:My guess is you have an infection and yes, you do need a dentist... now, not months from now. An absessed tooth can kill you.... and I am not kidding you at all. The infection can enter your blood stream. A dentist will take payments. Don't be foolish when it comes to your teeth.
Reply:Well you came to the right person cause I have lots of knowledge on dental situations, so I,ll give it my best. First things first, why on earth will your grandparents only pay for your front teeth? to begin with no one ever has any problems with front teeth, it is rare. Next, I am guessing that you will need to see a dentist a.s.a.p, because you may be forming whats known as a absese tooth, this can cause swelling and pain, and the pain can come on out of the blue and then just go away just as fast, when and if it does go away dont let it fool you, your problem with your tooth is not better, but it will buy you some time while you try to find a dentist, I know you are in a financial strap but their are some options here- open up your yellow pages or go on line and look for low income dental care, some places go by your income, some are local dental colleges, and some are just nice dentist who offer their time and work for no money to very little money, so check into this, cause you dont have alot of time. Also buy some orajel pain relief liquid that you rub on your gums,it really helped me with my tooth ache. Good Luck
Reply:Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years. No home remedies will help an infection. AND your grandparents ideas are ludicrious. Call the local hospital and find out if they have a dental clinic. Most do. They will treat you for free. If there is a dental school within driving distance call them and tell them you are in pain. They will also treat you for free. If this not an option, ask at the hospital of a name of a dentist that will treat you for low cost or payment plans. Most hospitals have a list. I usually do 1 day a month for free at the hospital and most of the dentists I know do as well. So please call now and be persistant. Tell them you are in pain and fear you have an infection. Listerine will not help and you must get the infection treated. I wish you the best. M
Reply:Toothaches or shall we say strange pain on one of your teeth or the gum-line is usually the starting point of severe or worst dental problems. Aside from giving you sleepless nights of painful miseries and difficult chewing, it could actually threaten your health and worst could kill you. Before it's too late, get dental health care advices and solutions at http://www.themouthdoctor.com/dentalheal... and free yourself from the dangers of dental problems.
You can also make use of OraMD to fight bad bacteria that cause toothaches. It's a very effective all natural breath freshener, toothpaste, mouthwash - All in One!
Reply:Without x-rays, alot of the advise is guess work. Sometimes you can get a bad infection, above the gum line, which is very serious, not just for the teeth, but the heath of oneself.
