Reply:you probably have a cavity, go to a dentist, he will let u know
Reply:Try oil of cloves - soaked into a cotton ball , place it on the tooth that is aching . Then lay down with a warm heat pack placed on the side of your mouth that is aching. Good luck I feel your pain .
Reply:Call your dentist in the morning and see if they will give you an emergency appointment. Until then, its tylenol for you! My friend was given hydrocodone when she was pregnant, but I wouldnt touch the stuff without a doctors knowledge.
Reply:with the terrible pain that u r having ur tooth is indicated for a root canal treatment but no x-rays can be taken. but nowadays techniques r available where successful RCT can be done without taking x-rays. u have to visit ur dentist as soon as possible. he would at least apply a medicine in ur tooth so that u get rid of pain till the time u deliever ur baby.
almost all pain killers except paracetamol r contaraindicated in prergnancy.
Reply:It is not true that you can't have x-rays. You don't have routine x-rays, like for dental check-ups when you are pregnant. But you are in the second trimester. This is the safest time to have dental treatment and x-rays. It is more dangerous NOT to get treated and have a chronic infection. You will have a lead apron for the x-rays, (probably double it) and no radiation would get through to the fetus. Also, there are many antibiotics that are safe to take while you are pregnant. The dentist is knowledgeable in pharmacology and if unsure, would consult with your physician.
By all means, get to the dentist ASAP!
Reply:I'm 19w pregnant. I'm taking a form of penicillin for gingivitis, and I just got a temporary filling last week for a broken molar. I made sure to ask my doctor today and she told me anything my dentist needed to do was fine for the baby.
I humbly suggest you learn to pick up the phone and call a doctor when you are in physical stress, you will probably need to do it at least once for your child when they are born.
