I made a dentist appt. but it isn't until 2 weeks from now and my tooth is killing me. Orajel isn't working
What is a good home remedy for a tooth ache?
Take 800mg of Ibuprophen. That's prescription strength. It is going to work better than Tylenol because it has an anti-inflammatory in it.
Reply:See a dentist dummy.
Tie a string to the tooth and yank it out !
Reply:try taking pain medicine like tylenol...those gels dont always work...and pills work better...try Tylenol Rapid Release...it works quicker that regular...
Reply:a dab of cinnamon oil.
Reply:This will sound awful but it really works. Take a juice glass, fill half the of it with whiskey and kind, take a handful of salt, and half cup of vinegar. Stir it all 2gether,hold that liquid in your mouth as long as u can, swishing it around, spit it out when u cant take anymore- u will see the infection. Keep repeating until glass is empty. It really does work.
Reply:Put a clove on it and hold it .
Reply:Oil Of Cloves you can buy it in your local drug store or it goes by the name of Red Cross Toothache Medication (I live in South Carolina, so it might be under a different name in differnt parts of the country). Fair warning it will burn when you first use it and be careful to keep off your tongue and mouth cause if you do get some there..we are talking drool central..hope that helps!
Reply:What someone said above about the Ibuprophen is correct and good. Ibuprophen is also an anti-inflammatory. The cavity will make it's way to your nerves and then will cause swelling which causes pain, the Ibuprophen will calm that swelling down and helps to work against the pain. It works great - and makes it bearable before your dentist appt.
