How do u get rid of a tooth ache?
if its spasms then take advil. If its tooth ache due to food, then go see your dentist. If its ache due to your third molars growing, you should go see ur dentist and have some x-rays. Maybe they arnt growing straight?
Reply:Anbesol or Dentist
Reply:Put a liitle of Ouzo in your mouth and hold it there for 5 minutes.
Reply:asprin...maybe u have a cavity call the dentist
Reply:YOU GO TO THE ORTHODONTIST AND GET AN EVAL!
Reply:Go to the dentist and have them check it if it's a persistant toothache. The tooth may need to be removed or have a root canal or something.
Reply:If you are an adult - 400 to 600mg of ibuprofen will stop the throbbing and dull the pain. Be careful not to exceed the daily dosage. Seeing a dentist to correct the cause should be your next step.
Reply:well...besides going to the dentist. There are these really cool things that look like Q Tips they have medicine in them and when you put it on it only takes like 15 seconds to work and it kept my tooth from hurting for about a week after I used just one. Sorry I can't remember what they're called but they come in a flat green little plastic pack. Good luck.
Reply:Applying direct heat, either with a heating pad or by placing a moistened hand towel in a zip-lock bag and heated in the microwave over the affected area -- as hot as you can stand it (without burning your skin, of course) Cover the whole side of the face where the tooth is located. I also take an aspirin or equivalent and lie down in a quiet place. My pain has ALWAYS been abated within 45 minutes. HEAT KILLS PAIN!!!

PS- If using the zip-lock method, I always use two, so one can be warming as the one applied cools down, so that I can keep the heat as constant as possible.

Trying it certainly can't make you any more uncomfortable than you already are, and you may be surprised. Certainly, make an appointment with a dentist, as this will keep recurring until the cause of the pain is determined and eliminated.
Reply:If its not severe/constant paint.

Try a teething gel, which will 'numb' the pain. Also clove oil - which is a mild anaesthesia.

Try warm water and salt too, incase of infection.

If all else fails - go to your local dentist.
Reply:Oil of cloves is great and saved me many times till I could get to see the dentist.

A strong analgesic like Panadeine Forte if still pain about and you haven't made it to the dentist yet.

But ultimately you have to see the dentist as the above are only stop gaps.

Make an appointment now. Just do it!

Oh and applying a small ice pack will help numb the pain as well.

Have you rung the dentist yet????????
