i can't get to a dentist at this time and i got a throbbing pain in my front tooth, it comes and goes, but nevertheless its very uncomfortable, any suggestions on whats good to ease my pain
Whats a home remedy for easing a bad tooth ache?
You have gotten some great remedies I also have used clove oil, I have also used warm vinegar with a little bit of hot pepper. And of course I have used warm water and salt, this has been the most common since I was a little girl. The best one is the warm vinegar with a bit of hot pepper. I hope this brings you some relief.
Reply:Rinse with salt water...cool salt water.
Reply:whiskey
Reply:Clove oil or cloves apparently dulls the sensation.
Reply:Clove oil is the best for any tooth pain/ache; just put a little dab on cotton and place on the area --not too much--you will gag.
Feel better.
Reply:I suggest salt water for a possible infection. However I would try clove bud oil directly on your gum and tooth. It will taste nasty but it numbs what it touches. Also poppy seed oil I believe is one you can squirt drops into a glass of water and it helps with the pain as well. I used this before and it worked AWESOME.
Reply:u can rub some oral gel on it or even brandy. Take something for pain like ibuprofen.
Reply:My mother used to make me a small bag of salt and then warm it up and place it on the side of my face that hurt. It seemed to work ok.
Reply:There is no home remedy. You have to get a dental exam. IF NOT IT CAN BE A CAVITY AND BECOME A ROOT CANNAL/
Reply:I've heard that if you put some bourbon on a sterile cotton ball and put it on a tooth, the pain will melt away.
Reply:Try Anbesol. It will help numb the pain. Also dry icing the the part of your mouth where the pain is. And be sure to take a pain medication, Motrin, Advil, Aleve.
Reply:I can only tell you this, I have had extreme pain with my teeth %26amp; this will definately work if you follow my procedure. First thing is to find out why the pain.Do you have something stuck in the gums? Do you have an infection? This is my general rule of thumb, %26amp; plan of attack. First thing I do is, floss real deep %26amp; thorough, then I flush the area with bottled or distilled water,(tap water is usually full of bacteria %26amp; chlorine) if the pain still persists, this is the next step,I boil a cup of water %26amp; now I put 2 chamomile tea bags in cup %26amp; actually most herbal teas will work with this concoction %26amp; now I put about 8or 9 drops of golden seal in cup %26amp; about 1 TBLSP of honey %26amp; stir well %26amp; let steep (covered) for approx. 10 min. I then let it cool to room temp. %26amp; I use a eyedropper to drop this mixture on and around the sore area. There have been times when I've had to step this up a notch because of severe pain. So, if that be the case, put approx. 4 to 5 drops of golden seal directly on the area, %26amp; also what helps alot for me is 2 or 3 drops of hard liquor.( I prefer a liqueor, such as Amaretto,%26amp; Grand Marnier) The Golden Seal is really the secret here, it fights infection %26amp; pain , do not abuse it's wonderful powers, also try to buy the Golden Seal without alcohol, but this is difficult to locate in some areas. Trust me, this will be of great comfort to you. Good Luck %26amp; I sincerely wish you some peace %26amp; comfort with your annoying tooth problems. Try to find a top notch, state of the art Dentist, that you feel very comfortable with, this person will become your good friend if you have teeth problems. From another friend that can relate!!!!
