Tooth ache?
Yes, it's possible and this type of unforeseen sensitivity does occur quiet often.

Your tooth may be reacting to being bumped; this is common and usually goes unnoticed. It usually happens from being hit with a glass or bottle, while raising it to drink from and you smack your tooth first and just shrug it off without giving it a second thought, until your tooth starts to hurt days later.

Or if you sleep with your mouth open you've had air racing across the tooth all night, the tooth may be dehydrated and hypersensitive, give a tingling or an occasional sharp shooting pain sensation.

These are two common reasons and there are many others, but sometimes there just is no reason for it to happen, and in a day or two it will stop.

Occasionally it doesn't stop and the tooth is letting you know it's dying. This does happen, and like I've said sometimes for no reasons that you can think of. We consider these to be due to trauma. At some time in your life the tooth suffered a bump or was hit, it tried to heal and did recover, but when it flares up again it is usually after it gets hit again, even slightly and this causes it to die.

So if it goes away, don't worry about it. Just don't cause any more stress to the tooth. If it continues to hurt, see your dentist so he can evaluate it with an exam, pulp test or x ray. If the tooth is dying, it can be treated with a root canal procedure, it's always better to treat these before an abscess develops. I hope that I've been of some help and that the tooth settles down for you. Good luck!
Reply:Yes. . .all of a sudden.

if it comes back or comes back stronger, you'll need to go back and see the dentist. Did you have any work done or is there any decay this on tooth?
Reply:It could just be sensitivity, especially if you use whitening products. Try getting some sensodyne toothpaste. If that doesnt work, you can now by some tooth desensitizer at the store. It lasts for about a month. Feel better!
Reply:you have mostlikly bitten into somthing hard and slightly moved your front teath dont worry it goes
Reply:Attacking in no expected time and place, TOOTHACHE or shall we say strange pain on one of your teeth or the gum-line is usually the starting point of severe or worst dental problems. Aside from giving you sleepless nights of painful miseries and difficult chewing, it could actually threaten your health and worst could kill you.
