I have a really bad tooth ache and it is a cavity, any home remedies to stop the pain?
Aspirin and an ice pack. And get yourself to the dentist ASAP.
Reply:Orajel, you will no longer feel the pain. And make an appointment immediately.

You can also invest in a home filling kit to tide you over until your appointment. These can be purchased at most drugstores.

Any dentists out there? I have a tooth ache, think i might need a root kennel. Tooth looks fine, but hurts as?

hell......

Any dentists out there? I have a tooth ache, think i might need a root kennel. Tooth looks fine, but hurts as?
HI KENDI,

THE BEST THING TO DO IS SEE A DENTIST. YOU MAY INDEED NEED A ROOT CANAL, BUT UNLESS YOU SEE A DENTIST, YOU WON'T KNOW FOR SURE. GOOD LUCK.
Reply:I think you mean root canal. I'm not a dentist, but if it hurts that badly, get it checked out.
Reply:You will have to start with an x-ray to see what the problem is -whether it is a cavity, infection??

How do i stop a tooth ache without going to the dentist?

Clove oil as a natural remedy, or Ambusol if you do not care whether or not it is a natural cure. You just have to put a drop where the pain is.

If you have lost a filling, there is a temporary filling you can buy over the counter as well.

How do i stop a tooth ache without going to the dentist?
you take a depon is a Greek medicine
Reply:I think the only solution to be able to stop it permanently on your own would be to pull it out. I'm sure that wouldn't be first on your list, especially if it is a molar!! I think it would be best to go to the dentist. That way you will get it fixed permanently.
Reply:Probably can't - unless the tooth ache is on the top teeth, and you also have a sinus infection (cold, flu etc) ... that can cause tender teeth.
Reply:Make an appointment to go to the dentist, Then usually your tooth will stop bothering you, this usually works
Reply:Some quick fix ideas could include orajel, and cloves just pop a clove near teh tooth and let it hang out, it kinda makes you drool but numbs the area enough. Dont procrastinate too long on teh dentist i did and needed it pulled when they said tehy could have simply cleaned and filled it and I would have been fine so remember once your tooth is gone, it doesnt grow back.
Reply:You can try Ambasol and ice pack on the outside of your face where it hurts.Hope you feel better.

Amasol or Oragel will numb the pain.Ask your pharmacist where it's at.It will be in a tube.
Reply:For years I tried to do this. It is futile. I used so much motrin I am now allergic to it. Do not try this on your own but find a dentist to help you. You might be able to stop the pain for a short time but it will just come back because you didn't deal with the problem.
Reply:Pull the tooth out?

Seriously, take some aspirin with codeine or some other strong painkiller.
Reply:just go to the dentist cause your tooth may get worse and then the cost will be more expensive and definetly do not try and pull your own tooth

How do u cure a tooth ache?
go to dentist he will do it
Reply:A Dentist for starters :)
Reply:you either need a filling or a root canal. your dentist can determine what is going on. in the meantime, take some advil
Reply:go to the dentist or if you to cheap use oralgel
Reply:sleep or sex sex cures everything
Reply:Dear Juan acun,

I would recommend that you see a dentist. However, in the mean time, you can take baby aspirin and let it melt against the sore tooth. Do not drink any extremely hot or extremely cold drinks because that will irritate the nerves in the bad tooth. I know that you must eat but try to chew your food away from the sore tooth. "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
Reply:brushing your teeth more often maybe sometimes that's not the problem though.
Reply:pul it out yourself dull the pain with oil of cloves
Reply:put rum on it
Reply:an application of oil of cloves always helps
Reply:Use oral gel.
Reply:go to the pharmacy, they have this tooth-paste-like gel, once you put it on the toothache, it'll numb it temporarily.
Reply:Okay, I kid you not, soak cotton wool in neat whiskey, gin, vodka OR Bacardi and hold it over the affected tooth. (Make sure cotton wool is well soaked. Great for pain relief.
Reply:Take hydrogen peroxide in your mouth. A 50% mix would be good. Pressurize your mouth and then create a vacuum. Do this several times. Listerine will also work, but not as well. I had a tooth ache a week ago. I cannot get in to see a dentist for about 3 weeks. This worked for me. I do it every night before I go to bed.

What is good for a tooth ache?

yes i am going to the dentist , but for now what can i do.theard salt water might work.

What is good for a tooth ache?
salt water rinse

motrin

ice pack

ambesol
Reply:check out the local drugstore for oral anesthestics. like orajel or something.
Reply:MOVE OUT OF THE AREA!
Reply:a visit at your dentist!

a smile

jo
Reply:put aspirn on it
Reply:A leaf of a cocaine plant. Back in the days before people misused the plant native indians from various parts of the south america used this plant to numb that specific part of the jaw. Good luck in finding one and i am not sure of the side effects..lol
Reply:Crush an aspirin and rub it on your tooth!!!!!!! It has worked for me many times as the pain killer contained soaks into the exposed nerve ending and will give you peace FAST - I hope this helps.
Reply:toothaches come from bacteria that is surrounding the tooth and gums so the best thing to do that will alleviate the pain is to rinse with listerene before u brush and again after you brush and to do this as many times as you can....also try orajel...maximum strength....it feels good when it goes on and u get a nummy and cant feel the pain as much....when all else fails take alot of tylenol, advil or aleve.
Reply:i would say asprin like all the others. you could try clove oil it tastes vile though but its good you can buy it from the chemist. get into the dentist asap
Reply:take a pain killer... any pain killer should help be careful of the aspirin on your tooth it might burn your gum or cheek if not done properly.

call your dentist or get one fast, orajel might help temporarily but if your tooth is hurting you might have a cavity wich might need root canal and you dont want it to blow up one day and have half your face swollen with pus (not a nice sight). or you might have an infection surrounding the tooth wich needs antibiotics.

Is it normal for a tooth ache to be very sensitive to the cold?

That might not be an ache as much as it might be a sensitivity. Sensadyne tooth paste might help. But go to dentist and let him do x-rays and then tell you.

Is it normal for a tooth ache to be very sensitive to the cold?
yes its normal
Reply:yes it is. because like me, you have very sensitive teeth.

God Bless!
Reply:yes it is
Reply:absolutely. and absolutely painful! try using toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
Reply:yes! it can be sensitive to heat and cold.....even to sweets or anything you are eating.
Reply:yes when you have a toothache, sensitivity is normal... im sorry but when you have sensitivity to hot and or cold water when you have a toothache in most cases it means you need a root canal..they will take an x ray first to determine that is whats needed..try calling your dentist in the morning first thing to schedule an emergency appointment to take care of the tooth, they will see you that day and get you out of pain...nobody should have to deal with that pain...feel better:)
Reply:Yes, I'm not exactly sure why, but I think that when your tooth hurts anyway, it just can't tolerate anything more
Reply:Don't worry about the problem u face. u must practice of brushing twice a day 1 at after bed and another before bed. u have to use as much as possible neem leaves for gargling along with Luke warm water. Avoid sweets and very often eating habits.sheethtali and sheethakari a breathing exercises will help u to get red off ur dental problems.
Reply:Yes. Sensadyne toothpaste helps a lot but it works better over longer periods of time. Start using it now and you should feel better soon.
Reply:It is normal for a tooth to be sensitive to cold. It is not normal for one tooth to be especially painful or for the pain to last for a long time once the cold is removed (several minutes). It is also not normal for the tooth to be sensitive to hot. Sensitivity to cold does not automatically mean that you need a root canal, but you should see a dentist because having a cavity filled early could help to aviod a root canal.

How can i treat a tooth ache?

A dab of tea tree oil on the affected tooth and the pain will be gone. I broke a tooth and it got me by for a week until I could get to the dentist

How can i treat a tooth ache?
Try Oil of Cloves. You can buy it at a health-food store.
Reply:go to the store and buy orajel
Reply:You better let a dentist take care of that. but for emergency case take Ibuprofen 400mg every 4 hour (not in empty stomach)+Amoxicillin 500mg every 8hr.meanwhile visit a dentist.

Who ever died of a tooth ache in their heel?

Heel Spurs (http://ww3.komotv.com/global/story.asp?s...

Although it may take years to become a problem, once it appears, it may cause considerable suffering. Because of proximity to the tendons, the spur is a source of continuous painful aching. The sensation has been described as "a toothache in the foot." When you place your weight on the heel, the pain can be sufficient to immobilize you.

I thought this take on Springsteen's album was interesting;

http://urbansemiotic.com/2006/06/25/spri...

Not all the songs were written by Seeger, but the songs are associated with Seeger. You then get a curious blend of history and honoring as you listen to Springsteen admiring Seeger and Seeger admiring the original songwriter. That circle of life and method of aesthetic repetition and worthy penetration of spirit is what makes us human and that is the key to the joy captured in the performances.

How do i stop a tooth ache pain ( home remedy)?

It is really going to depend on what is wrong with your tooth. If it is decay, there are some over the counter medicines at your local pharmacy that will help. If the tooth is cracked, there isn't much you can do until you get to the dentist. If it is infected, you will need antibiotics. Basically, the only thing you can do is relieve some of the pain with over the counter medicines. It will take a dentist to completely fix the problem.

How do i stop a tooth ache pain ( home remedy)?
Bite on an aspirin.
Reply:get some tooth meds from

walmart if you have money
Reply:Get some tequila or whiskey or a strong liquor don drink it just hold on the side of your tooth ache for a few minutes this will do the job in in seconds if come back do the same and you cam make it to the dentist to fix your problem for good.

I know how you feel this work for me in home remedy.

Get well.

I have a really bad tooth ache. Any suggestions to take care of the pain, till i can get to a dentist?

I have a really bad tooth ache. Any suggestions to take care of the pain, till i can get to a dentist?
take Tylenol, or if that doesn't work try some vicodin
Reply:origel or asprin
Reply:clove works well, or neat brandy
Reply:anbasol or there are tooth ache kits at wal-mart or pharmacies.
Reply:Aleve works well or advil.
Reply:Take some aspirin and put some orajel on it. You might want to try gargling with salt water it works sometimes too.

How do I help relieve tooth ache? Any natural remedies?

Apply Oil of Cloves

How do I help relieve tooth ache? Any natural remedies?
clove oil
Reply:Advil and lots of it if need be. Forget the natural if it becomes bad enough.
Reply:Cloves can be harsh - go to the chemist and ask for ORAGEL. Its brilliant and numbs the tooth and gum. It has worked for me several times on abcess pain - anything that can cure that is good in my book . (if you need a boost to get rid of the pain so you can sleep maybe - try soluble co-codamol and take 2. They are strong but work instantly) x
Reply:Clove oil - cheap and cheerful!
Reply:Oil of cloves or a slice of lemon
Reply:gargle whisky
Reply:i went to the dentist the other day, my teeth hurt soooo much after i go. i have been using sensodine tooth paste, just rub it on your gums, where its hurting, it soon goes away. hope it is better soon hun
Reply:you could apply warm moist towels to your cheek area on the outside / cloves on the inside or use the old baby method of teejel, make sure to brush and floss because any food particles will allow it to pain
Reply:Pain is an indication that something is wrong and you need to see a Dentist immediately.

Relieving the pain can cause more painful and expensive procedures in the future.

If money is an issure most Dentist will set up a payment plan.
Reply:I have the same problem I do the clove thing (yuck) but I have been useing peroxide! dilute if u want %26amp; hold it by the bad tooth, for a few minutes . I do it 3-4 times a day. (If youu swish it you have a mouthfull of foam)
Reply:I actually heard about aspirin for years, but I never had a toothache bad enough to try it until a couple weeks ago. Amazing! just take a regular aspirin ( even baby aspirin will work if you can't get past the taste) place it over the tooth or painful area in your mouth and hold it there as it dissolves. Works within minutes!

Ginger
Reply:clove oil
Reply:Soak some whiskey on a bit of cotton wool and leave it on your tooth for about 10 mins.

It will kill the pain but its not a permanent remidy. Best bet is to go to the dentist. If your like me you will leave it until you really can't function any longer.

Just make sure you don't drink the bottle of whiskey!!!!
Reply:Clove oil, but not for long time, it makes the gum numb for a short time that's it, need to see a dentist before ended in pulling out the tooth..
Reply:an old fashioned remedy is clove oil (toothache tincture) or you could just use bonjela this tastes better
Reply:alcohol, i garggle with whisky, brany, vodka. that works.
Reply:Apparently cloves help toothache. You can buy it in an oil formula and apply it to the painful area. Just a few drops. Also try using Betadine mouth wash. It really does anaesthetise
Reply:Definately clove oil. It will dumb the pain until you get to the dentist. Smells nice too.
Reply:North pole of a ceramic magnet should help-see any magnet therapy site.
Reply:Clove oil works for me.

Take preventative measures also.

Brush regularly after food.

Best rememdy for a terrible tooth ache????

i have this intense headache and it seems to get worsewhen i lay down....my head is gonna pop! so what ever you think i need to do to ease the pain...starts from my gums then it seems to lead into my freakin brain,,,ugh it sucks,.

Best rememdy for a terrible tooth ache????
Antibiotics. Teeth have pressure receptors, not pain receptores. So, pain killers do not provide much relief. The pain will not quit/weaken much until the pressure from the infection around the root tip of your tooth gets smaller making it apply less pressure/less pain. Thus, you need some antibiotics to help relieve the infection.
Reply:Painkillers %26amp; a hot water bottle.. Try and see a dentist soon x
Reply:Maybe go to the dentist.
Reply:the symptoms you describe suggest that you suffer from sinus instead from tooth ache. I recommended that you try some sinus medicine then visit an ENT Dr.
Reply:HELLO,

YOU NEED EITHER A ROOT CANAL FOR THIS TOOTH OR AN ETRACTION.

SEE A DENTIST A.S.A.P.
Reply:If you have a tooth ache, then you can put Kanka on it. That is what I use on mine until I get to the dentist. Kanka is found where the meds for teeth problems are in the stores. As far as the head ache with it, I don't know, never had a head ache caused by a tooth ache. But I do know that Kanka will kill the pain of a tooth ache for awhile. It comes in a very small bottle.
Reply:You can use pure vanilla extract ( not the cheap brand) it really helps with the pain. It has a natural numbing agent in it, my family has used it for years. It kinda stings at first but then it is numb for hours.

I have a very back tooth ache, during Thanksgiving i hit a bone and broke a molar, no dentist open..thanks?

oking for any help.. home remiedes, grandma sercect anything to help pain

I have a very back tooth ache, during Thanksgiving i hit a bone and broke a molar, no dentist open..thanks?
There are a couple of pain medications for tooth problems at your local drugstore, such as Anbesol.

Also, the druggist may be able to tell you of an emergency medical center that could help.
Reply:clove leaf oil.rub it on with a q-tip
Reply:Most dentists I've had were available for emergencies. Good luck to you.
Reply:ANBESOL, its found in the baby aisle for gum pain when they are teething.
Reply:Crush up a pain reliever (aspirin is best for this) into a powder. Apply the powder around the tooth and gums. Also a shot of tequila or Hennessy doesn't hurt.
Reply:ER's are open 24/7. similar situation with my daughter a while back, and her dentist office not open. i took her to the ER and she was treated, good luck.
Reply:Go to the emergency room.
Reply:try crushing an aspirin and putting it into the tooth cavity itself, wouldnt hurt to pop a couple aspirins as well. you can also try to put a whole clove over the area and just press it there with your jaw sometimes this will offer temporary relief till you can get to a dentist
Reply:OMG that is the worst pain and after a while nothing helps but a dentist and the hospital can help but they will give antibiotics cause it will get infected now and that will cause even more pain u will need antibiotics and pain meds u must see a dentist asap find any dentist who will take u as an emergency cause all they do for the first appt is exactly what I just told u oh and they take an x-ray.Now your going to need a root canal.then they send you home and u go back when the infection is gone.Good luck.Oh there is a certain oil that tastes nasty i think its garlic oil of some sort it supposed to help if u rub it on your gums.u get that at your pharmacy.

Can you die from a tooth ache?

From a tooth ache? No. From an abscessed tooth? YES. The head and neck are very vascular and the infection from the tooth can be carried to the blood stream resulting in systemic infection, brain abscess and if you have a hear problem endocarditis. If you have a tooth that may be infected, seek dental care IMMEDIATELY.

Can you die from a tooth ache?
No, of course not.

Go to the dentist if you're worried.
Reply:no of course not. It is just a tooth.
Reply:You can die from an abcess (infection) that causes a toothache. The infection can get into your bloodstream %26amp; kill you if not treated.
Reply:If it gets really infected, yeah.
Reply:no
Reply:Not from a tooth ache, but if you had an infection it could make you very ill.
Reply:Yes, if it becomes infected and the infection gets into the blood stream through an absess. There is a movie with leonardo dicaprio where he is on an island and a guy gets a tooth ache, then an infection and it really messes with him. Its very stupid to not get it treated.
Reply:No. But it will make you wish you were dead sometimes.

Get to a dentist soon!
Reply:no, but it can hurt like hell, funny for something so small.
Reply:Not from a tooth ache, but from tooth infection, from what I understand you can go into cardiac arrest...that is why you need to treat any dental problems quickly.
Reply:you wont die from the pain, you will just feel like you are dying. and if you have an infection causing the ache then yes you can die. the infection can go straight to the brain and kill you.
Reply:No, lol, but it feels like it! I hate tooth aches!
Reply:lmfao. no, of course you can't! but if you are in deep pain, you should visit your dentist/orthadontist immediatly.
Reply:No, but it can get infected and spread - rare but hey anything is possible. Go to the dentist if you have a tooth ache. But generally pain doenst kill people, sometimes it feels like it though!
Reply:if its infected and i forgot what happens but it gets really bad if you dont take care of it then yes i can happen so ive heard that people can die go see a dentist i have to go my self
Reply:im afraid i have to answer your question with another question.

why would you die from a tooth ache??
Reply:My husband was in the hospital for three month because the infection spread through out his entire mouth and they had to put tubes under his jaw to drain out the infection

He lost all his teeth and it started out from a tooth ache. Just something for you to think about. Go get it check out asap!

Tooth has dull ache 10 days after root canal. Is this normal?

Had a root canal on my upper #4 pre-molar tooth ten days ago. Tooth is not sensitve to hot or cold, but has had a dull ache ever since. Pretty constant ache, minor though. Endo gave me some penicillan 4 days ago and there has been no change. Any advice?

Tooth has dull ache 10 days after root canal. Is this normal?
any pain after root canal therapy(about 30 days) is totally normal.unless you dont have abscess take some painkiller.it would become better.
Reply:Of course! Don't be worried...much....
Reply:Talk to your endodontist or dentist to be sure, but for me I had an ache for about 3 weeks following procedure.
Reply:Call your dentist.
Reply:Please contact your dentist.
Reply:yes its very normal, take something like ibuprofen to take the swelling down.
Reply:I don't believe this is normal..

Root canals involve removing tooth nerve so you

should not be still having pain..

Perhaps you have a deep seated infection and it is taking

a while to die off ???
Reply:I've had a root canal and at first you will feel some lingering pain. It shouldn't be too much longer before it goes away. Definitely voice any concerns to your dentist.
Reply:yes this can be normal but if in a few days it is still the same go back to you Surgeon as the root treatment may have failed and may need to be redone as it is not always sucessful.
Reply:Go back to your dentist. The only time I had pain after a root canal was when the jerk who did it perforated the root. The feeling was that of a dull throbbing. I had developed an infection because of the perforation. Bottom line.......I lost the freaking tooth. The Endo prescribed antibiotic and is keeping his fingers crossed.
Reply:Yes, sometimes you can get it longer than a few days. The tissue just needs time to heal. Go to your dentist though to have a check up to be sure.

I'm pregnant and I have a horrible tooth ache. What can I do?

I can't sleep, eat, or talk. I think one of my back teeth are growing in weird because i can feel a bump on my gum. Does anyone have any solutions?

I'm pregnant and I have a horrible tooth ache. What can I do?
you can use anbesol or orajel for now, and call the dentist first thing monday morning, i know for sure that both anbesol and orajel are safe for the baby because I had a cavity when I was pregnant with my son, been there done that, so anbesol away, it'll help a bit, and feel better
Reply:use the baby orajel and ask your doctor if you can take baby motrin for the pain when the orajel wears off..
Reply:This sounds like Wisdom teeth growth. You need to get wisdom teeth extracted by dentist --- they are EXTREMELY PAINFUL. I'm sorry to hear this. I had mine removed at age 22.
Reply:consult your medical doctor first on what medicines or pain relievers you can take. Some medicines may have negative effects on your baby,,,..
Reply:put clove oil on it

I have a bad tooth ache.I have tried everything.Help please make the pain stop..?

What do u use for a toothache,i have pain pill cant take another one for 4 more hours.Cry's it hurts. It hurts so bad my left eye hurts.Cant afford to go to denist or a doctor, or no insuriance for hospital, help me please!!!!

I have a bad tooth ache.I have tried everything.Help please make the pain stop..?
If you can't get to the drugstore, try vanilla flavoring, just dab it on the tooth and gums. It will help numb the tooth. Hope this or someone else's suggestion works. A tooth ache is the worst. Good luck.
Reply:clove oil has been used in dentistry for at least 100 years. Report It

Reply:You NEED to see a dentist, at least get a diagnosis for the pain. You may have an infection. Try icing it down for awhile, maybe change your prescription, try something stronger like naproxen 500mg 1 every 6 hours or even stronger is ketorolac 10mg 1 every 8 hours, for 7 days. Take these pain killers longer than you should and you might get something like a liver disease, painkillers are only temporary. Remember that.

Try locating a dental school nearby, they'll always help you and are a lot cheaper.
Reply:Drop a hammer from about 5 feet up in the air directly onto your toe. Then your toe will hurt and you won't even notice your tooth.
Reply:take anouhter pill it will be alright but wait about 25-30min to see if 1 works first
Reply:Man, you NEED to go to the dentist!!! It sounds very painful........good luck!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Anbesol- get it dab it on a cotton rod and rub over the source of pain. Do it after you've eaten. Do it all day long every so many hours. I swear it will go away so long as it's not anything more serious.
Reply:Go to the drugstore and purchase some Ambesol (sp?). Also I heard powdered Aspirin or any other pain reliever placed within the decayed area will help with pain.

Why dont you go to an emergency dental clinic. If the tooth is that bad they will take it out and bill you.

Hope this helps.
Reply:Try ambusol for tooth pain. You may have to see a dentist it doesn't sound too good. If you are in pain and the pain pill doesn't kick in I think you could take another one. Call a RX and ask what the maxium amount of the pain killer you are using you can take to get relief. Always check with a Rx they can tell you and it is free.
Reply:This sounds like it is infected, if so use warm salt water and rinse. Also if you can find pure clove oil with help numb it up. The salt water rinse you can do several times a day. Don't swallow any. Just rinse it out. Then try ibuprfen for pain.

Good luck I feel for you. I just went through this 2 weeks ago.
Reply:take an aspirin...break it in half and put one half directly on your tooth. Hold it there until the pain goes away...which shouldn't be long. This is just temporary...you do need to see a dentist
Reply:The best antidote would probably be to pray over yourself. Just try it and watch how God heals your pain!!! BUT there is a catch you can't complain about and be impatient you have to believe and have faith that your tooth doesn't hurt anymore. Then keep saying that you are healed and the pain will be gone. TRY IT OUT!!!
Reply:A temporary fix is clove oil. the drugstore should have it dulls the pain and is an antiseptic. orajell will dull the pain. it is used for teething babies. (the active ingtrdient is xylocain hysrochloride. The stuff dentists use to freeze gums. But get to a dentist on Monday and get the tooth fixed.

Good luck,

Dan.
Reply:Get some LIQUOR
Reply:try anbesol just keep on putting it on there ....
Reply:Dentek makes a gel, 'max strenght toothache relief', it's the only thing left that works for me (stronger then anbesol/orajel).
Reply:i heard that cocaine works..rub it onto your gums %26amp; teeth where it hurts and it will for sure stop the pain because its makes your month numb. =)

I have a horrible tooth ache!! What can I take?

My dental appointment isn't until Monday....Motrin %26amp; Aleve aren't working anymore.

I have a horrible tooth ache!! What can I take?
This is actually a dental emergency! Call your dentist and tell him/her of your great pain, and they will probably give you an appointment today.
Reply:clove oil can sooth a toothache or babies teething gel works too, you might find there's still that ache there though, head pain is horrible, I feel for you.
Reply:Aleve works better than most, but since it isn't working go to the ER and get prescribed antibiotics to take the infection out.

Also, sleep at night propped up on pillows. When you lay flat your blood rushes to your brain causing your tooth to hurt really really bad during the wee hours. This is what my dentist told me and I wish he had of told me years and years ago.
Reply:Go buy some BC POWDER, you can get it anywhere try Walgreen's or CVS, but you just pour the powder on the tooth that aches and within like 30 minutes you should feel results.
Reply:take 1000mg of tylenol aswell. Max dose of Motrin is 800mg and Aleve 1000mg but do not take latter two together okay. DO you have vicodin or similar?

See a dentist tomorrow.

A sleeping tablet mayhelp too - hey we are talking desperate care here
Reply:I'm sorry, I know how you feel =/

Its gonna take time for the pain killers to work, dont worry.

boil some water, take a nice clean wash cloth, and just hold it on your cheek, where the tooth is at. (Dont put it on the tooth)

How to stop a tooth ache?

Mild painkillers should help.

A dentist will help even more.

Sure, no-one like going to them, they hurt you and charge you alot for it. But you have to decide if the constant level of pain you're feeling now is worse than spending a few bucks and a bit of short term agony to get rid of it.

Hint: Although they hurt too, get an injection (or two).

How to stop a tooth ache?
Use Clove oil

with the earbud just put one drop

or

u can put one whole clove in under ur jaw where it hurts

u wud feel the difference urself
Reply:not perfectly, but depending on the case we can do it.

i

f its caries or decayed tooth.we should pull it out.

if any infection we should go for antibiotic therapy simply u can use analgesics or some med.tooth pastes
Reply:Treat your tooth wiht acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil). An ice cube on the tooth or ice pack on the jaw for 20 minutes will also help.

Then for preventing toothaches brush your teeth, especially the back molars, after every meal. Be sure to use a fluoride toothpaste
Reply:Advil, Advil and more Advil. Oh- and NyQuil if it is giving you problems sleeping. Also, go to the dentist as soon as possible.
Reply:first visit your dentist to evaluate your case...cause you will never know what causes the pain. there are sensitive teeth which are relieved with some commercialized toothpastes, there are cavities in the cervical part of your tooth - just above the gingival margin - tooth abraded from excessive force from brushing and using hard bristles. That case should be covered and restored with composite resin to allevate the sensitivity.

tooth ache from extensive cavities should be restored. Taking analgesics would relive the pain for a while but only for a temporary relief. you should have it restored or if its beyond restorable have it endodontically treated.
Reply:Going to your dentist would be your best bet. The dentist will either fill it or pull it out, then you will be out of pain. Good Luck with that.

If you have a tooth ache, and your lip goes numb, what's the problem?

Your tooth may be abscessing and you should really see a dentist. If there is enough pressure or trouble in the area in which there is a nerve ending (and there are plenty of nerves in there) you may experience numbness in your cheek or lips. If you are having trouble with your teeth and it is creating numbness in your face, you definitely need to see a dentist. This is not a normal reaction to a toothache. If your tooth is abscessing (infected) then you must have it addressed or removed. You can get yourself into serious trouble if this is left unaddressed. Tap gently, on the tooth that is giving you trouble (use the end of a fork or spoon). If that "tap" sends you "thru-the-roof" then you need to see a dentist right away, you have an infection (an abscess). These types of things do not clear up on their own. Best of luck! Get help and you will feel with your lip again and feel much better!

I have a bad tooth ache what can i do?

i cant take painkillers because im pregnant, are their any home remedies any one knows of to help dull the pain until i can get to the dentist?

I have a bad tooth ache what can i do?
In order of increasing effectiveness:

1. You might get some relief from toothache drops or cloves if you are having hot/cold pain. If you have an abscess (deep dull ache), then antibiotics might help.

2. Paracetamol (Tylenol in the US) is fine, as long as you follow the dosages.

3. You may also have some paracetamol with codeine.

4. IF YOU'RE NOT IN YOUR LAST TRIMESTER, then you can also take some ibuprofen. This is usually the most effective form of toothache relief.

***PLEASE ASK YOUR PHARMACIST, and see a dentist as soon as practicable. There is absolutely NO reason why you can't receive dental work when pregnant. Find a decent dentist who is happy to see you, and doesn't say such nonsense.

There is NO RISK to the bub, even Xrays. You are at more risk to yourself and bub by continuing to have unecessary painkillers than seeking dental treatment.
Reply:Go to the dentist
Reply:It's nasty, but you can hold a clove stud between your teeth...

or... nasty also, wheat grass juice, swish it around in your mouth for a minute or two. Both help alleviate the pain temporarily.
Reply:It may be safe to take tylenol depending on far along you are. You should go see a dentist in case it absesses. There are numbing gels at the drugstore for a sore tooth or gum but I'm not sure of their side effects.
Reply:my mom always says, use baby anbesol, it numbs it for a while but you should be able to get to sleep. good luck!
Reply:What I did when my wisdom teeth were coming in was to eat really spicy foods with cayenne pepper. It tricks your brain out into thinking its a chemical burn so your body releases tons of endorphins. Might help some, certainly helped me with the tissue pain. Might work with teeth to as it tends to numb the whole area for awhile--you might wind up sucking on icecubes for a few minutes first though.
Reply:Go to a drug store and get oil of cloves. Put some on your tooth and it should dull the pain. Or get some of that orajel stuff for babies teething it will numb your tooth.
Reply:If it's throbbing and feels "hot", it is most likely infected. Apply an ice pack (not directly, but on your cheek). This will numb the area, but also take the fever out of the infection, which together will ease the pain
Reply:My daughter has used orajel to help her get through the weekend with a toothache. The important thing is to determine if the tooth is abscessed. One way of figuring this out is to drink something really cold - does the tooth feel better? If you drink something hot, does the tooth hurt more. If so, it could be abscessed and you need to see your dentist on Monday. He or she will start you on antibiotics right away so make sure to tell them you are pregnant.

Also, there may be some painkillers you can take while pregnant. Ask your pharmacist - they are experts at meds.
Reply:oralgel. It's topical and may not affect your baby.
Reply:get some ground cloves, add a little water to form a paste, and rub on the gum where the tooth is hurting. Hope this helps!
Reply:gargle salt water and go see a dentist
Reply:that liquid gel stuff and it nums your tooth then later you will regain feeling and it doesnt hurt as bad
Reply:quick and cheap but guaranteed put white rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and apply it will work spit out any excess
Reply:buy some clover oil taste like crap but just put it on the tooth with a cotton bud the pain will die off but read the bottle first im a man i never had that problem of being pregnant.good luck
Reply:clove oil will sometimes work ....but the best I have found is mouthwash.....use Listerine....Hold it in your mouth on the tooth as long as you can stand it...the tooth will become "drunk" from the alcohol ....don't drink the mouthwash ...LOL. See your DOCTOR asap. Most dentists will not work on a woman with a pregnancy
Reply:I'm a dentist.

Tylenol is safe to take during pregnancy. Advil and other NSAIDs are not.

Call 1-800-Dentist and tell them about it they will be able to find a dentist for you that takes payments.
Reply:Contact your local university. They offer programs, sometimes for free, where students learning dentistry practice on patients who volunteer. They only use students who are in their final year of studies!
Reply:What do you mean no dental? Do you mean no dental insurance? If that is what you mean that is not an excuse for not going to the dentist to at least see what is wrong. See your dentist and get the tooth at least checked out. Use anbesol until the the dentist can see you but do get it checked out.
Reply:ora-jel.
Reply:Put a teabag on it. Get some cloves in the grocery store in the spice lane and put on tooth.

It could just be a sensitive tooth, so get some sensitive toothpaste. Also Calcium tablets melted on the tooth could make it strong.
Reply:don't feel bad-I do too.
Reply:i would advise that you use moltrin to help with swelling and pain and call yor reg doctor and tell him about the tooth ace and the no dental so that he can give you some antibiotics. that is what my doc did for me.
Reply:Bad as I hate to say it, you can DIE!!! A tooth can become infected and actually kill you. I have a buddy that thought that brushing was for babies and he had awful problems with his teeth. Be careful and by all means, get it taken care of.
Reply:ouch ouch ouch i have had rolling on floor toothaches before so i know the urgency. if you dont have dental go to your local public aid and try and get temp medical card or ask them for info on public medical assistance. if that dont work just go to emergency room they will do it too...but expensive www.myspace.com/jimmycody
Reply:oragel for pain.....2 tylenol rapid release for pain.... and if the tooth is broken or has a hole you can use temporary filling to fill the hole and hold you off until you can get to the dentist.
Reply:clove oil, or cloves. anbesol or orajel or some OTC product can dull or numb the pain, but as soon as you can see a dentist do it.

the money you spend to get your teeth fixed will be well worth it.

I have a terrible tooth ache from the cavity I got. Orajel lasts 15 min. What can relieve my pain until monday

I do not see the dentist until Monday and I am suffering from the most terrible cavity ever. It is located on the molar, and I rinse my mouth with salt water to dull the pain. I am on Aleve which I believe is the best. Any possible ways I can deal with the pain until Monday?

I have a terrible tooth ache from the cavity I got. Orajel lasts 15 min. What can relieve my pain until monday
Aleve, Motrin or Advil at a 600mg dose, are all good anti inflammatory to take for dental problems. Although if your tooth has abscessed these will offer little relief. If you have swelling, drainage or throbbing symptoms, it may be advisable for you to contact your dentist this weekend. He may phone in a prescription for antibiotics and pain med's so you won't suffer all weekend and so treatment can begin early next week.
Reply:Try Excedrin. Also, the active ingredient in sedative fillings that the dentist uses is clove oil. I would try that.
Reply:If it's really bad...take some Motrin. 600 mg. That gum numbing stuff doesn't ever work for me either.
Reply:Try chewing a stick of sugarless gum and placing the wad over the cavity.
Reply:Grass.

How do you cure tooth ache without going to the dentist?

ambesol works good for a temporary fix, if you have a chronic tooth ache, the dentist is your only option, unless of course, you consider removing the tooth yourself. In that case, you'll need a pair of pliers, a fifth of vodka, 2 percodins and balls the size of Texas

How do you cure tooth ache without going to the dentist?
I suppose you could yank the tooth.

There isn't much else that will work in the long run.

People die from poor dental care - why are you avoiding the dentist?
Reply:Oil of cloves and ibuprofen as a temporary measure.
Reply:Not much you can do without going to the dentist. I would also be careful because often the troubles that are going on in your mouth are very connected to what is going on inside your body.
Reply:You can't cure it-but easing the pain until you can get to the dentist can be done by drinking colf beverages, some ibuprofen, or oragel works wonders.
Reply:Crush an asprin and pack it around your tooth, then get to the Dentist asap!
Reply:There isnt really any home remedy to cure a toothache but taking tylenol or motrin. Make an appointment as soon as you can so you can stop the pain before it continues to grow.
Reply:you don't cure a toothache without going to dentist. other than pulling it yourself. you probably need a filling. getting a filling isn't nearly as bad as letting it go %26amp; losing the tooth or getting infection in your system from poor oral hygeine/health.
Reply:Can't you go to the store and get something like Orajel to numb it? They have other stuff for tooth aches. Also maybe some ibufrophen or advil, aspirin tylenol....it works on some....or just get you a 6-pack (dont know your age) and when your done with it you won't even remember ....what tooth?
Reply:Oh, there is no cure. Hate to tell you this but your going to have to go to the dentist. I know it hurts, but in the long run you will feel much better.

Good luck

Alabama
Reply:To really cure it, you have to remove the cause.

To remove the cause, you need to either pull the tooth yourself or get professional help.

For temporary relief, take willow bark tea (bad for the stomach), apply OraJel, brush with Sensodyne toothpaste, chew willow twigs, or take aspirin (derived originally from willow bark). Some people apply whiskey or drink copious amounts.
Reply:If it's just a temporary ache, an aspirin or Tylenol should take away the pain. If it doesn't, a trip to the dentist is definitely in order.
Reply:If you have a friend that recently got really hurt or broke a leg or something, chances are that he or she has painkillers, strong painkillers. Get a few from them. But, uhh why are avoiding the dentist? its only going to get worse
Reply:Opt for Sensodyne toothpaste for everyday use.
Reply:clove oil it is the best thing since sliced bread an les you dont like bread then its just the BOOMB THY IT U MIGHT LIKE IT.

mind you it tasted like sh it
Reply:Sorry to say there is no permanent cure, but you can take something for discomfort. Unfortunately, as long as the problem is still there...the symptoms will remain. :(
Reply:No. You could have a cavity, or your tooth is growing. If it hurts for a couple days, go to the dentist. In the meantime, you go get this medicine that numbs your gums so you dont feel any pain. Its called Alcasalser (i think thats how you spell it). you can find it in the drug store. Good Luck!!!
Reply:oil of cloves, which you can get at a drug store, will help some unless you have an abcess. If you have a swollen place on your gum near the painful tooth, you really should get medical help as abcesses can be very dangerous if not treated properly. If it's just a cavity, the oil of cloves will help, but it will only get worse if you don't get it taken care of soon.
Reply:I say this with concern: PLEASE GO TO THE DENTIST! You may need to be on antibiotics if you have an abecessed tooth. You can use Anbesol by putting it on a q-tip and leaving this on the offensive tooth. Also, you can take up to 800 mg of Ibuprophen every 6 hours to alleviate some of the pain. It has been my experience when you have a toothache, it is hard to concentrate on anything else. The reason I say you may need an antibiotic is because if you are forming an abcess, this needs to be treated with oral antibiotics, therefore, going to the Dentist is the logical thing to do. If you are short on cash, most offices will work on a payment plan for you. Good Luck and Take Care!
Reply:Your answer is in the movie "Cast Away" where Tom Hanks shows us a perfect way to cure your tooth ache.
Reply:Someone replied clove oil and ibuprophen, and something like that is probably the only way, but you'll eventually have to go to a dentist -- and the sooner the better.

Oil of clove is a topical anesthetic you can put directly on the tooth -- usually gives some relief. The pharmacist will have it or a brand name that contains it. Ibuprophen (e.g. brand-name Advil) is my pain-reliever of choice for headaches, either that or acetomenaphin (e.g. Tylenol) or some combination of them maybe with a bit of caffein.

But I have been having trouble with a tooth I let go too long before I took it the dentist (who is in a small countryside clinic and makes his rounds only couple times a week). He did a root canal but I'd already let it go so long -- just lazy and depending on pain medicine -- he scolded me for letting it get so rotten and hard to repair. He's been working on that tooth for over two months and only two of the three roots are filled, the other one keeps abscessing, a minor infection that is slow to heal.

Anyway, all that for two reasons -- one, to convince you to go to the dentist as soon as you can -- the other to tell you about naproxen sodium, an analgesic specifically for inflamed joints and toothache. It works better for me than ibuprophen or Tylenol, and here in Korea it is marketed under at least three brand names specifically for toothache. I did an internet search for possible side effects and I judged it OK for me. It's over-the-counter brand name is Aleve. It works more slowly than ibuprophen or Tylenol -- takes about an hour to kick in, but it allowed me to sleep when the other pain medications weren't quite strong enough. Note that I never take a higher dose of pain relievers than what's indicated.

Wikipedia has a pretty good article with some cautions for pregnant women or those who might be taking certain other medications.

How can I cure tooth ache?

Try swishing with warm salt water! I've got a nasty toothache right now and it's helping.

To sleep, I soaked two cotton balls in listerine and then put a very thin coat of oragel on them and put them in my cheek (gel side on the tooth).

Relieve pain from a tooth ache?

Good "home remedies" for temporary relief of a toothache are:

1. Motrin 600-800 mg every 6 hours

2. Anbesol or similar

3. Ice...sometimes holding ice water or crushed ice chips inside your mouth helps reduce the pressure of an abscessed tooth

Reply:Easy answer Call your dentist and make an appt most will be able to get you in same day and get you out of pain.
Reply:Sorry about your pain. If I have to wait to see a dentist I take Tylenol. Ambesol will help, get maximum strength.
Reply:You might try clove oil or steep a tea bag, squeeze it a bit, then place on area that aches. The tannic acid in the teabag is a natural pain reliever. Or take an extra strength Excedrin.
Reply:Get something that contains eugenol..it usually comes in a paste like at united supermarket..I am a dental assistant thats the best over the counter method
Reply:It sounds like a corny commercial, but try Orajel. It works great. I'd know. I just had oral surgery, and was taking a lot of painkillers, and it wasn't doing a thing, but when I took Orajel, the pain went away instantly! It was great!

I know there must be home remedies for this type of pain that are effective so if you know one, please respond!

Heat (I heat salt in a pan on the stove and dump in a washcloth and apply right to area that hurts. The salt can be reheated over and over again)
Reply:I heard a rumor that if you put a pistol in your mouth and pull the trigger, the toothache will not bother you anymore.

Seriously though, if it's bad enough that painkillers don't help it's time to go see the dentist. I lived with a broken molar for 5 YEARS and it finally became so infected that when I had it removed he could not deaden it at all. I felt the entire thing! :-( Owie!

These 2 things helped me one night when my tooth was hurting.
Reply:Try putting a whole clove on or around the sore tooth.
Reply:straight whiskey it works for me i have a broken tooth that i have had for a while anytime it hurts a gargling of whiskey makes the pain go away
Reply:it might not sound like it works but it does ,rub the palm of your hand, try the hand either closet to the heart or side tooth is on, rub in circular motion close to the thumb, rub until pain ease

you should feel better in 3 min
Reply:Rub whiskey on that bad tooth. Might wanna drink a lot of it too. Numb the tooth and your mind and pass out. Do this at home though or have a DD.
Reply:Antibiotics, sometimes the pain is coming from an infection
Reply:try ambesol , orajel or get some ground cinnamon and rub on area
Reply:In addition to using the pain medication of your choice, sleep on an extra pillow to elevate your head. Sleep on the side that does NOT have a toothache. If that doesn't work, you can move to a recliner or the sofa so you can keep your head really elevated. This will minimize the blood flow to the area and therefore minimize the throbbing and pain. This might help you make it through the night until you can see a dentist.
Reply:Follow responses from Tubby and Dr Sam above, and your tooth ache will soon be a song to you.
Reply:i know this is gonna sound weird, but it really works for me. I get a regular aspirin, the white ones that aren't coated. I put it directly ON the tooth and let it dissolve there. I don't know why it works, but it does.

I have a severe tooth ache, can anybody help me?

Go to the drugstore %26amp; get a small bottle of Ambesol. Use a Q-tip to apply to your tooth. It works very quickly.

Then call your dentist %26amp; make an appointment. Good luck!

I have a severe tooth ache, can anybody help me?
that sucks. Yeah, I'd use Advil; the strongest strength I could find.
Reply:You could suck on some whole cloves or apply clove oil if you have any. It's a natural numbing agent.
Reply:I know the exact person you want to see. He is called the dentist. Have you tried that?
Reply:You can put origel on it until you can see a dentist. You might also try to let an aspirin melt on the tooth. That's really nasty though and I would not recommend it if you have a strong gag reflex.
Reply:Try rinsing your mouth out with warm salt water. You need about two tablespoons of salt. This will temporarily kill some of the bacteria if you have a bit of infection. You have to repeat this about every half hour until the pain subsides some. If that works, then you do indeed have an infection and you should see a dentist as soon as possible, as this is not a cure, just a reprieve. If you don't have an infection try flossing. I had a tooth ache the other day and after flossing I found it was due to a bit of food caught in between my teeth. I'm sorry for you I know how debilitating tooth ache pain can be. I hope this helps anbd you feel better soon.
Reply:sorry you got some stupid answers and I'm sorry your tooth is hurting i been going thru the same thing for weeks now so i know its nothing to joke about... what i have been use to help the pain is clove oil and anbasol it seems to help... also they sell tea with clove oil at Marks for 1.99 and it seems to numb up my whole mouth witch is a great relief for a few hours...... i hope it will go away soon ..... hang in there :-)
Reply:I sympathise, toothache is awful. I dissolve 2 Cataflam D (diclofenac) and that does the trick until I can get to a dentist.

I HAVE BOTH OF MY WISDOM TEETH COMING IN ON THE SAME SIDE(TOP AND BOTTOM). I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING THAT I KNOW OF TO GET THE PAIN TP STOP. What home remedies are there for a very severe tooth ache?
Clove oil is the best home remedy for toothaches. Even dentists use it. I found the information at http://aches.in/toothacheremedies.html useful
Reply:The only thing that is going to help is have them removed. Call your dentist , all this money you are spending on home remedies could be better spent on a professional that can really help you. Good luck

P.S. Rubbing alcohol!!!!-wow!(Yuck!)

Topical ointments won't help the source of the problem, which is the teeth, they need to be seen by a professional to determine if they need to come out
Reply:THE OBVIOUS ANSWER IS SEE A DENTIST.

DON'T RINSE WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL.
Reply:i have the same problem, all four wisdom teeth coming it, it hurts like hell, go somewhere like walmart or drug store, and get oragel, if you cant afford it (its only like 7 bucks or so) get the generic kind, thats what i have, it works great, nums the pain almost instantly. it only last like and hour, but the tube is big and lasts a long time.
Reply:Have you tried swishing with warm salt water? That helps with somethings oral.

Seriously though they are going to hurt until they finish coming in, or until you have them removed. You're teething.
Reply:meet your dentist. He will give you some antibiotics %26amp; some pain killers with muscular rexacents. Try some hot salt water garggle.

Whats good for a tooth ache if you cant afford to go to the dentist right now?

I had that problem for a very long time. Try ambusol, the numbing gel for your gums. Also, try liquid Advil, it worked right away for me. Then to help at night, tylenol pm or a generic brand to help you stay sleep; the pain will wake you up. Most importantly, get it seen right away, it will soon cause you to have headaches. See if there are any dental schools in your area that will have the students take care of you at a discounted price. Dont worry, they wont hurt you, actual dentists watch over them.

Another alternative, call 1-877-DENTRITE and see if they have any dentists that participate in this discounted dental program.

orajel, tylenol and suck on a teabag.
Reply:orajel is goofd because it relives the pain
Reply:oragel
Reply:if it is due to an exposed root due to a cavity you can buy this cheap dental wax and jam it in the hole to stop all air/moisture contact and will delay a need for a dentist for a few days to weeks.
Reply:anbesol or orajel
Reply:i have found that rinsing with warm salt water helps me.
Reply:go and get some of that sassafras. Boil about a quart of water and put that sassafras in it and steep it for like about ten minutes and drink it hot although it don't work immediately it will work in about two or three days and then no more tooth ache.. but you still have to get to that dentist ....
Reply:Depends on what's causing it.

Orajel (I think that's how its spelled) helps. If it's an exposed root, I guess you could get some wax but if that's the case, you really, seriously need to get yourself to a dentist. If you explain your situation I'm sure you can get a discount.
Reply:Do you have insurance? You should really try to make it to the dentist as soon as possible. There are many dental schools that offer reduced fees on most procedures. Or see if you can set up a payment plan at a clininc.

In the mean time Ibueprofen is very effective as well as a topical such as orajel.
Reply:right now I am using clove oil on mine, if you cant get that, get ground clove mix it with some water or olive oil and rub on the gums or put it in the hole/cavity (tastes really bad but does numb it). It numbs it and helps fight bacteria that may be present. Oragel maximum strength, ice it, if you cant bare the ice put an ice pack on the outside of your face, sometimes a heating pad works too, swishing with whiskey or something high in proof, garlic relieves pain too, wheat grass. Take some Tylenol, Advil, Ibo, etc. You can look up home remedies for toothaches to get more information as well!!

Clove oil or anbesol. Also a pharmacist told me you can take acetaminophen with an NSAID (ie naproxen, aspirin or ibuprofen) at the same time (because the tylenol is filtered thru the liver and the others thru the kidneys).Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this is ok for you to do.

I have a bad tooth ache. does anyone know of a home remedy until I get to a dentist?
take 2 tylenols, get a bag of ice and wrap a paper towel around it, place it on your cheek where it hurts, if you feel like going to the grocery store they have a numbing liquid in the dental aisle.
Reply:Take 800mg. ib profen every 4-6 hrs. it will reduce the inflamation.avoid hot and cold in the mouth if the nrve is inflamed it will flare it up again. Good Luck call your dentist first thing in the morning so they can work you in it is hard on Mon. because they already have a full schedule snd more emergency. Oral gel doesn't work
Reply:You can try clove or mouth wash to clean out any infection.
Reply:I know it sounds funny, but I use teething gel. Or you can use a toothace gel.
Reply:even the dentist will tell you, a bag of frozen peas against it, and you can gargle with warm salt water. I just had ten needles and five hours of drilling! thank god for Advil.

I have a severe tooth ache that is killing me, but don't have dental insurance. How can I get this taking care

Your teeth must be taken care of properly. Since you don't have dental insurance I would suggest getting a discount card. You can get a good one for $11.95 a month and it will cover extraction or filling whichever the dentist decides is needed.

Make sure to locate a dentist in your area but then you just click on Join Now and you can go to the dentist immediately. (I do mean immediately...you will be given a member number and you can use this at the dentist's office)

$5 pair of pliers and a good friend to yank things out of your skull
Reply:Well I would be able to research a bit more if I knew where you were from, but I will try to help you the best way that I can.

Go to google and type in 'Free dental clinic' and then your city.

Alot of places have free dental clinics you just have to find one. It is alot of searching to do.

I got my tooth pulled at Cherry Street Dental Health Clinic in Grand Rapids Michigan for 20.00 .

They pull them every day monday through friday but you have to be first in line and you do have to stand there for about 4 hours.

You can also try calling Social Services if you live in the United States and they may have a list of low cost or free clinics. Explain that you have no insurance.

I hope that you find what you are looking for.

Sincerily,

Nicole
Reply:Call around to different places. Tell them upfront that you have no insurance and ask them what they can do for you. Your teeth are important and it is worth the money to take care of them.
Reply:oh do i feel for you. i hate a tooth ache. I'd rather get a beaten!! Take 4 {Ibuprofen} motrin same thing {read bottle first} my dentist prescribed 800 mg of it for my tooth ache, it was infected so he couldn't pull it yet, and 4 motrin is 800 mg's and it does help the pain. Do u have any antibiotic in the house. If you do start taking them now. The infection causes swelling which puts pressure on nerve. Start saving some money and get that sucker fixed asap. If it get unbearable then go to the emergency room and maybe the doc on call will write u a script for antibiotic and give u something for pain. Tell him u do not have the money to go to dentist right now and to please help that u r in severe pain. I've done that before and it worked he did exactly that!! Get infection cleared and the pain usually goes away!! Hope I helped!! U could also check to see if there are any clinic's in ur area that go by ur income to save you some money!!
Reply:Google for a dental school in your state. Call them and try to set up an appointment. They will charge nothing. Don't worry, they may be students but they have great people watching over their shoulders. My wife pulled 80 teeth in dental school. Takes time but may help you out.
Reply:You could always try getting a job earning the money and paying your way in the world.

I have a severe tooth ache and I am 6wks pregnant, is Tylenol 3 ok?

naw u cant take no tylenol. you cant take no type of vmedication when you are impregnated.

I have a severe tooth ache and I am 6wks pregnant, is Tylenol 3 ok?
Yes do not exceed 2000 Miligrams!
Reply:i would call ur doctor first and ask him/her....when i was pregnant my dr prescribed me hydrocodone for back pain..but i asked her first b4 i just assumed it was ok. and if ur doctors not on call at this time call the emergency room and ask

best of luck and i hope u get to feeling better
Reply:You could call your local 24-hour pharmacy and ask a pharmacist. Tylenol itself is in category risk B for pregnancy, which is pretty safe, but you need to contact a professional before taking the codeine product. It would be a liability for someone online to say whether it is okay to take it.
Reply:My OB office says Tylenol with codeine is safe during pregnancy, but I know each doctor has their own view on that. I'm sure if you call tonight someone from the office can advise you. My doctor's office has all the meds. they say have not been shown to cause birth defects listed on their site (see link below). Of course you should avoid all medicines if you can, but it sounds like you really need it! Good luck!
Reply:Could be a tooth infection i was like 6 months pregnant called my doctor he perscribed me an antidote and it went away real quick. tylenol didnt even work for me.

How do i relieve tooth ache pain ?

tylenol and motrin have not helped much i have an appointment on friday and suggestions for in the mean time would greatly appreciated

How do i relieve tooth ache pain ?
Umm the best thing to do, would be well I usally put some oragell on my tooth! that numbs it, and you don't feel that tooth until about maybe 1 hr. or maybe even longer, than while I have the oragell on there, I put a cold wash cloth on my cheek , on the side the tooth is on, and then that usally helps until the oragell wears off! :-)
Reply:Use cloves or anbesol.

Action

Constant pain and pressure, gum swelling, sensitivity to touch. Abscessed tooth causing gum and bone to become infected. Endodontic evaluation and treatment to relieve the pain and save the tooth.

Dull ache and pressure in upper teeth and jaw. Sinus headache or grinding of teeth can cause these symptoms. See your dentist for relief of teeth grinding. See Sheats Endodontics for severe or chronic pain.

Chronic pain in head, neck or ear. Pulp-damaged teeth may be the cause of pain in the head and neck. See Sheats Endodontics for an evaluation. If the problem is not related to your tooth, we will refer you to an appropriate specialist.

Sensitivity to hot or cold foods after dental treatment. Momentary discomfort to hot and cold sensations does not signal a serious problem. This may be caused by a loose filling or gum recession. Use a toothpaste made for sensitive teeth and brush appropriately.

Sensitivity to hot or cold foods after dental treatment. Dental work may inflame pulp or nerves. Wait 4 to 6 weeks. If the pain continues, see your general dentist.

Sharp pain when biting down on food. Decay, loose filling, or a crack in the tooth. Possible pulp damage. See your dentist for evaluation. If the problem is pulp related, your dentist will refer you to our practice.

Lingering pain after eating hot or cold foods. Pulp damage by deep decay or trauma. See our practice immediately to save the tooth with root canal treatment.
Reply:Call your dentist and ask for a script. A lot of dentist are worried about drug seekers, but if you are a patient of record they shouldn't have a problem prescribing you something stronger than tylenol or motrin. You shouldn't have to bear through the pain. Hope this helps:)

There in nothing wrong with u except you have a toothache and need to go to the dentist to see what the problem is. YOu have made it to 23 without a toothache so u must have some good teeth, but now its time to go to the dentist as you should have been all along to keep your teeth healthy
Reply:You mix numbers and letters together, stupid.
Reply:smoking does not help any thing....

sounds like a cavity, go to a dentist
Reply:Maybe a cavity? I'd also assume smoking doesn't help your teeth, but I doubt it's a large issue here. Everything else is just other misc. info about you that doesn't really have anything to do with your teeth or why they're hurting. If they continue to hurt, I'd suggest going to a dentist to get it checked out.
Reply:You need to go and see a dentist. I realize that while working 7 days a week you will have to take a day off but let me tell you that a toothache can be horrible pain and it will well be worth the day off to see a dentist who will x-ray and do whatever needs to be done to the tooth that is causing you the pain!! In the mean time take 800 mg motrin (ibuprofen) If the tooth is abscessed you need to go on to the dentist so he can start antibiotics to clear up any infection before he works on the tooth! It normal at you age to get cavities. You must have regular check-ups with your dentist!!

Home remedy for a tooth ache?

Clove oil. Find it at your local health food store.

Home remedy for a tooth ache?
For instant relief I chew an aspirin with the tooth that's hurting. Works for me!
Reply:You are just masking the problem. What if it is infected? You could become really sick. Go to the Dentist.
Reply:Take some whiskey and hold it in your mouth for a few second, and then spit out, it will help get rid of a tooth ache.
Reply:This always works for me. Place a whole aspirin directly on your tooth. And hold it there between your teeth. Till it dissolves. Its bitter but it does help. Also, a clove of garlic held there will help ease the pain. Try it, you'll be surprised.

PLEASE HELP!! Really bad tooth ache?

My husband has a toothache right now. can't afford to go to the hospital and no dentist in service right now. We've tried the orajel and its not working. taken some ioprofen, even tried crushing it up and apply on where the pain is, don't know how that works right now. please if you have any ideas that would help ease a toothache pain without going to the hospital, please tell. will be greatly appreciate it.

PLEASE HELP!! Really bad tooth ache?
toothaches are the worst :(....

rinsing with warm salt water

using dental floss to remove any food particles

taking aspirin or acetaminophen (Tylenol) to relieve pain; the drug should be swallowed--never placed directly on the aching tooth or gum

applying a cold compress against the outside of the cheek; do not use heat, because it will tend to spread infection.

using clove oil (Syzygium aromaticum) to numb the gums; the oil may be rubbed directly on the sore area or used to soak a small piece of cotton and applied to the sore tooth
Reply:put some salt ( i use to put...coz my grand ma said that) where the pain is going on ....or at the moment you can put some ice on it...
Reply:apply whiskey to dull the pain
Reply:oil of cloves is a good short term solution or the novacain gel that is avalible at most chemists.
Reply:this may not answer your question but there has to be a hospital in your area that accepts people that have no insurance. In Chicago, where I live there are many places that can help. Try to do a search and see what hospitals has dentists and offer free medical care. Hope he feels better
Reply:There are specific pain killers for tooth aches that you can buy in the store that you apply directly to your gums.
Reply:Buy some Clove oil as its really numbs the area that it is put on, also use Lavender oil around his temples as it gets rid of headache but alse soothes! Also, if he stops fussing over it and maybe goes for a lie down or watches something on TV it will take his mind off atleast a tiny-small-weeny bit of the pain!

Good luck :)
Reply:Hold some peroxide on the tooth, then spit out. This help get rid of some of the pus and infection. This always helped me.
Reply:Yes, oil of cloves.
Reply:Soak a small piece of cotton with Orajel and try to pack it around the tooth for a while and see if the pain goes away. If that does not work then try this.

Oil of Cloves. I am not sure if it is better than Orajel, but it is the only other stuff I know will work. You can get it where you got the Orajel.

Also, when I had a toothache like that and the Orajel did not work, I would hold a dose of Listerine in my mouth for as long as I could stand it. Not perfect, but it did help and I repeated it often. I am too sensitive to Oil of Cloves, it burns me.
Reply:He is going to HAVE to go to the hospital. They will give him pain medicine until he can get to a Dentist on Monday. NOTHING relieves toothache pain except Acetiminiphen with Hydrocodone or Codiene. They may also give him an antibiotic. Toothaches are the WORST pain!!
Reply:put ice in between thumb and first finger for 5 min,or until it melts.
Reply:eat more candies..
Reply:first of all, asap contact a dentist or a doctor for a perscription tp be filled immediately. Do you happen to have any antibiotics in the house or perhaps a friend may have one. Even a spoonful from a liquid antibiotic would help. The pain is caued by an infection and the only way it will ease up is by attacking the infection. Which is basically what a dentist or doctor would do. But if you happen to have any antibiotic like say 2 pills and immediately swallow both. within 2 hours he sould start to feel some relief. Never drink alcohol! This will only intensify the pain. Then immediately in the morning call for a dentist by telling them the problem (infection) a perscription for antibiotics costing about $15 and a quick exam $25. Relief is only a few hours away!!
Reply:HOT WATER works. Make it as hot as you can stand it %26amp; gargle %26amp; spit again %26amp; again until you feel the pain subside. Some people put salt in the hot water, but if you have no salt or should not use salt due to heart problems, then plain old hot water will do the trick. If you know which tooth is hurting, then you can use a sterilized needle to pierce the area %26amp; allow the poison to drain out of the tooth %26amp; gum area. If you know there is no way to save the tooth %26amp; you'll need a root canal, then use the needle to start your own root canal to relieve the pain until you can get to the dentist by putting the needle directly into the hole in your tooth %26amp; this will give you instant pain, then instant immediate relief as the poison drains out of the tooth. Keep rinsing with hot sallty water, then finish with a rinse of Hydrogen Peroxide %26amp; warm water. Be careful NOT TO SWALLOW ANY PEROXIDE. If he still hurts, get him into a hot shower, as this will also help to alleviate his pain. He can just stand there %26amp; gargle with the hot water if he wants to %26amp; shower at the same time. Heat is good, as it gets things moving %26amp; relaxes those tense painful muscles.
Reply:Of course, see a dentist when you can. In the meantime, swishing vodka around the affected tooth is supposed to help a lot.

What medicine is ok to take for tooth ache, ear and eye pain, ibueprofen doesn't work anymore?

What medicine is ok to take for tooth ache, ear and eye pain, ibueprofen doesn't work anymore?
You shouldn't be taking ibuprofen because it crosses the placenta. You should be taking tylenol or aceteminophen. It is the safest over the counter headache medicine during pregnancy. Only take two, no more. You can also take the night time tylenol, which should make you sleepy and might help you. Changing the type of medicine might help it work because after a while of taking the same thing, you body becomes immune. You can also try getting clove oil and putting it on your sore gums and teeth. Something else that helps me sometimes is to put Icy Hot on my face and neck and that will relieve the pain somewhat.
Reply:Use a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water, wash your mouth with it for about 10 min.

Reply:I am going through wisdom teeth problems too although I am not pregnant. If I were you I would go and see your doctor as taking any medication for a prolonged time is not good for you. I'm not sure what you can take when you are pregnant. Have you got the infants Bonjela gel for when they are teething? I used that and it works for a short time, also rub some rum on your gums. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Reply:stuff used for teething helped me. it numbed my gums. im 10 wks and need my wisdom teeth out as i dont have room for them
Reply:Extra Strength Tylenol or acetimenophen is the best thing to take while pregnant. Also try alternating hot/cold compress on your face. It might help. One more thing is Tiger Balm on your jaws. Hope this helps.

I have had some sort of tooth ache-ear ache pain in my mouth for the past week.?

There is this pain that streches from my left far top molar to my ear. Today it was worse, because i didn't catch enough sleep last night and all day i've been struggling to keep awake in classes and there have been sharp pains in my head and the area described above. I did get bit by fire ants two days ago, but the pain has been going on before then. The climate where I live is fairly warm, but for some reason i feel deathly sick.

Wisdom tooth or in need of root canal. its one or the other!
Reply:sorry- both are wrong. It's gone now. Report It

Reply:maybe you have a really bad cavity. i had a cavity down to the nerve and it caused bad pain in my jaw and ear. and it could also be like rotting inside so you cant notice it. but call your doctor. they may help. maybe go see a dentist too

hope you get better :]
Reply:no worries, you are just stressed out and gritting your teeth at night, the ear pain is just muscle tension.

get one of those mouth appliances that cushions teeth grinding.
Reply:You need to see a dentist, it won;t go away. It is the nerve in your tooth. They can cause pain from your mouth to your ear to your eye. Get it looked after.
Reply:You need to go to the dr.
Reply:I am no Dentist, but I have experienced the same thing and it sounds as if you have an abscessed tooth. When you have an abscessed tooth it affected your whole body, the infection is being released into your body making you feel sick. The good news is the pain can disappear immediately. The bad news you must see a specialized referred by your dentist. Get into your dentist today tell them you think it is abscessed and he can put you on antibiotics immediately that may relieve some of the pain till you can get in to see the specialist who will pop that abscess, with instant relief. I promise it will be better. but get it done now because the infection can spread to you other teeth abscessing them as well. It happened to me I had THREE ABSCESSES AND THREE ROOT CANALS all because I waited so long. After they clean out the abscess then they will do a root canal. the pain radiates over your whole face causing great pain, especially at nite. I hope I'm wrong and it's just a bad cavity GOOD LUCK I definitely feel your pain. Call for appt today at Dentist office
Reply:Yes, that's what I thought too, an abscess. If it throbs like crazy at night (!!!) and the pain is so bad you want to pull the tooth yourself right then and there it sure is one. There is often but not always some swelling with it. See your dentist and s/he will x-ray it and give you antibiotics. An abscess can kill you, so make sure you go to find out.

If it is just a bad tooth you need work done too.

Good luck!

and if you think toothaches are bad you should try being sick like i was on New Years weekend..boy those were the worst days of my life.

i was throwing up alot and when i wasnt my stomach felt like there was a rock in it...really nautious. also had really bad chills and back pain developed. no matter what i did i felt like ****. id lay down, relax in the bathroom, sit out in the living room...ive never moved around inside so much in my life. i didnt go on the computer at all so i also felt the effects of comp. withdrawal.
