Orajel always works.
I have a tooth ache.I am allergic to Penicillin, what can I take?I have no money for a Dentist.?
Find your local university dental center. Dental students have to look at lots of patients before they actually get their license and it's either super cheap or free.
Reply:orajel/they make it for children/adults/then make an appointment for a clinic in your area/most area have free clinics/good luck
Reply:You're probably going to have to go to a dentist so they can prescribe something other than penicillin.
Reply:Penicillin would only help if there was an infection. Try Ora-jel or Ambesol for temporary relief. However it's unlikely to get any better unless you've actually just got a sinus infection would can put pressure on you teeth. If that's the case it could be allergies and you might try an over the counter allergy medicine.
Reply:i know it sounds goofy but, try an over the counter sinus medication. it usually helps me. you really should see the dentist though. you can make payments. unattended tooth abscesses can lead to bigger problems.
Reply:If your tooth aches with each step you take, that could be sinus trouble.
If you can take ibuprofen, you might try that for a day or two.
If your toothache continues, you have to see a dentist. Infections in your teeth are dangerous because they are so close to the brain.
Contact a good dentist and discuss what your financial options are. Many of the dentists in my town offer a day per year where they see uninsured patients one after the other. I think they care about your health; that's why they've become dentists.
Good luck!
Reply:Yeah these all work. Also can use cloves or clove oil. You might as well go to the dentist now instead of waiting until you are in such pain you can't stand it. Work out a payment plan with them. Just call and say you are having pain. They will usually get you worked in. You know it only gets worse. Many antibiotics besides penicillin. That isn't used much anymore anyway.
Reply:Ibuprofen.
also try hypnotherapy for pain control. It works.
Reply:~ I am also allergic to Penicillin and so my dentist will give me
Clindamycin HCL 150 mg.
Is your tooth throbbing? or is it just a little ache?
Because if it is throbbing you should take oral medicine because you might need a root canal.
and if it is just a little ache you really won't need medicine.
maby Tylenol.
you should call you local Medicaid office and see if they can refer you to a free clinic!
Or you can call around because there are dentists that will do the work and then make a payment arrangement with you!
Good Luck and I hope you start to feel a little better!
Reply:Ouch! Sorry to hear that. When an infection occurs in the mouth it is ESPECIALLY important to get attention immediately. Call your dentist and ask them to call in an Rx to your pharmacy for you. If they won't, or if you do not have a dentist, go to any dentist and ask them to send you a bill when you are checking out. They will. It is better to get a bill than to have a heart attack because you had a simple infection that could have been cured by a few pills. (I always have them bill me, even if I have all my payment paraphernalia with me!) Feel better and be well!
Reply:You should go to a doctor or a dentist right away - as you could have an abcess in your tooth and if that bursts you could end up with blood poisioning/septicemia which is often fatal if left untreated.
You could go to your doctor and he/she can prescribe something like ampicilliion (sorry about spelling) or cefelexon and a pain killer.
depending on where you are in the world - in the states there are county hospitals - where you can go they often have oral surgeons and dental staff available.
If you are in the UK - call the NHS help line and talk to someone they can advise you from there more than likely they will tell you to go to your local A %26amp; E
Not having the money is not an excuse to not go to the dentist - trust me I know and I ended up with blood poisoning which resulted in massive antibiotics and a stay in the hospital -
No matter where you are at a dentist will help you - when you go in (or even call) you can arrange a payment plan
Also might I suggest that you never ever put a hot compress on an infected tooth or a tooth ache as it helps breed bacteria - use an ice pack or a cold cloth it might help ease the pain a bit
Reply:u could buy from any counter some bonjela.it's a gel which u apply on the painful teeth.it help to reduce the pain.
or u can put some whisky too.it realy works!
Reply:Buy a pair of pliers dude and go nuts. Medicine will not correct teeth problems after they start, otherwise, we wouldnt suffer through drilling and root canals and the such.
Reply:Well they're are CHEAP dental plans that you most likely can afford, like dentalplans.com
