Tooth-ache relief?

I have toothache and earpain. What can I take/do to reduce the pain until I'm able to see the dentist later this week. Today is a public holiday and they're not open for business.Does something warm help?

Tooth-ache relief?
I've always found that eating something cold was helpful in decreasing the amount of pain. Maybe you can suck on a piece of ice or ice-cream.
Reply:one pill name DOLAMIDE.
Reply:Try sucking on a couple of whole cloves. This will numb it for a bit.
Reply:try clove oil

an amlgesic antiinflammatory like brufen

try tapping at the wrist
Reply:Get some oralgel it is great stuff when you have a tooth ache, but if you just got a root canal it shouldn't be hurting that bad unless you the dentist struck a nerve.
Reply:When u have a root canal...."U"...don't have any pain...maybe u got an infection....use %26amp; hold listerin over the afected area...or straight votka 4 about 10min; insert cotton socked in "isopropyl-alcohol" inside u'r ear @ all time.....cold, hot, sweet will make it worst....
