Go to the drugstore %26amp; get a small bottle of Ambesol. Use a Q-tip to apply to your tooth. It works very quickly.


Then call your dentist %26amp; make an appointment. Good luck!

that sucks. Yeah, I'd use Advil; the strongest strength I could find.
Reply:You could suck on some whole cloves or apply clove oil if you have any. It's a natural numbing agent.

Reply:You can put origel on it until you can see a dentist. You might also try to let an aspirin melt on the tooth. That's really nasty though and I would not recommend it if you have a strong gag reflex.
Reply:Try rinsing your mouth out with warm salt water. You need about two tablespoons of salt.This will temporarily kill some of the bacteria if you have a bit of infection. You have to repeat this about every half hour until the pain subsides some. If that works, then you do indeed have an infection and you should see a dentist as soon as possible, as this is not a cure, just a reprieve. If you don't have an infection try flossing. I had a tooth ache the other day and after flossing I found it was due to a bit of food caught in between my teeth. I'm sorry for you I know how debilitating tooth ache pain can be. Reply:sorry you got some stupid answers and I'm sorry your tooth is hurting i been going thru the same thing for weeks now so i know its nothing to joke about... what i have been use to help the pain is clove oil and anbasol it seems to help... also they sell tea with clove oil at Marks for 1.99 and it seems to numb up my whole mouth witch is a great relief for a few hours...... i hope it will go away soon ..... hang in there :-)
Reply:I sympathise, toothache is awful. I dissolve 2 Cataflam D (diclofenac) and that does the trick until I can get to a dentist.
