I have a tooth ache and it hurts really bad what would i use?
Clove oil usually works, but if you don't have that on hand I would just say numbing it with ice.
Reply:clove oil
Reply:gargle salt water.
Reply:poor a little salt on it, that always helps

Reply:Take ibuprofen. Whatever you do, don't put aspirin on it! It's hard on your enamel!
Reply:if the gravity of pain on the scale 1 to 10 is 5, and that there is inflammation (usually redding of the gums) without purulent discharge (pus with yellow appearance) or little blood shed in the area where there is pain, you may use antiinflamatory drugs (mefenamic acid or ibuprofen) 3 times a day.

Reply:omg get oragel or advil or call your dentist!
Over-the-counter pain medications such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil) may be used. Take these as directed on the package and around the clock on a schedule while you arrange a dental appointment.
Avoid very cold or hot foods because this may make the pain worse.
Relief may be obtained from biting on a cotton ball soaked in oil of cloves. Oil of cloves is available at most drug stores.
Reply:Oralgel .... baby oalgel tastes better though
Reply:Some people have claimed that onions, garlic cloves, and lime eliminate the tooth ache...I would suggest Wheat Grass because Wheat Grass Juice can act as a mouth wash.
Reply:take a tea bag and run it under warm water. then stick in the area where it hurts. the tannic acid in the tea will help soothe the pain.... works for me, but you should call the dentist asap.
Reply:vodka...alot of it
Reply:Nyquil...take about 1/2 teaspoon swish around the tooth. The toothache should stop immediately.
Another possible solution...
If it's a molar, you can stuff it with cotton to keep the air out. Brush the area really good, and rinse with warm salt water.
Get some cotton and roll it into a tiny ball and stuff the cavity area with it....you may need to use a toothpick or something to push the cotton inside.
Another good item are cloves. They have a numbing effect. You can put some clove oil on the cotton--it will help.
Another possible solution:
Onions. Take a piece of onion and put it on the side of the toothache. Pain should reside. If it comes back, bite down slightly on the onion to release the juices.
Reply:lol haven't heard of the onion trick before, nice
