Tooth ache....help!?

I have sensitive teeth, always have. But today i woke up and the front bottom 4 teeth are throbbing. I bought some OraJel and am applying it pretty often b/c it only seems to work for about 10 minutes at a time. I dotn think its a cavity....

any ideas on what could be causing my teeth to be so sore?

Tooth ache....help!?
If the ora jel is working, even temporarily, you probably have a gum problem. If they are red or swollen, try warm salt water rinses and get a soft tooth brush and try to massage them with the toothbrush. You may have to put on the ora jel to do this. You really need to see a dentist because it could be alot of different things. If it is a gum problem, The only true thing that will help is seeing the dentist. The longer you dont go to the dentist, the more money it usually costs to fix it. good luck
Reply:sensodyne is great for sensitive teeth. use it morning and night and drink less of very cold drinks and sweets.
Reply:I would see a dentist but in the mean time orajel does not work try kanka you can find it at walmart, and walgreens. It is like $5
Reply:you might be grinding your teeth in your sleep.
Reply:just go to the dentist!
Reply:call a dentist
Reply:It's also possible that you brushed/flossed too aggressively. Make sure you use a soft bristled toothbrush, and that you aren't pushing down very hard.
Reply:As of this moment it sounds as if you have an Tooth Abscess that needs to be pull A.S.A.P. the longer you wait the more severe it becomes. However, the Dentist is only going to give you some Pencillin until the swelling, as well as the throbbing goes down, and then they are going to advise you that it will be necessary for them to do a tooth extraction. Nevertheless, if the pain increase I would suggested that you gargle with some warm salt water, (on the area where the pain exist). Then take a Tylenol with Codedine(which is actually a Tylenol 4) to kill the pain until you be seen by the doctor.
Reply:I use a prescription based toothpaste..... might need to let you use it sometime
