tooth is busted and under the gum"wisdom tooth" any ideas what i can do for pain other than the pills they are not working
I have a very bad tooth ache Dr gave me tramadol for pain?
try clove oil directly on affected area
it can be found in most health food stores,
if you don't have one near you, then go to
you local grocery store %26amp; purchase some
whole cloves from baking aisle spice section.
Reply:Gargle with warm salt water right on that area.
Eat %26amp; take 600 mg ibuprofen or Motrin. Take every 6 hours until you can call the Doctor tomorrow %26amp; let him know the meds are ineffective.
Reply:I am sorry you are in so much pain. I have had bad teeth problems too. Tramadol is fairly strong (at least it is for me). I don't think there is much else you can do except try hot or cold packs and see if either one helps. I believe it is also safe to take Tylenol along with the pain killer to help the inflammation.
There is a long weekend coming up. If the pills do not start working you should go back into the dentist. I had an infected tooth once and needed a root canal. It was too infected to do the root canal that day. The doctor injected my gum area all around the tooth with Novocaine. He also gave me pain pills. The Novocaine "calmed" my tooth down so much that I did not need the pain pills. Ask your dentist to do this for you tomorrow.
Reply:Put Kanka on it, it will stop it fast, just doesn't last forever. Kanka can be bought at Wal-Mart and some other places as well. It will be found in the section where they have the other medicines for tooth aches. It will numb the area that is hurting. It comes in a small bottle and has a dark blue cap on it. They also have it in a pencil type dispenser that has a brush on it. Either one works, I use both of them.
