i have had tooth ache for a couple of days. it's from the front left insisor and is agony, but i just have time to go to the dentist and really want the pain to go away so i can sleep and work does anyone have any ideas or remedies to help?
How can i stop my tooth ache with out going to the dentist?
OOOOOooooo ive this problem, i found that you should eat ice cubes.. or drink very very cold water.. it really did help me and it numbed the pain so much.. i think thats better than going out and buying painkillers,, i remember one of the first things i tried was constantly brushing my teeth.. haha.. didn't help atall.. i say go for the ice cubes my friend!
Reply:oil of cloves. only temporary, you really should see a dentist
Reply:Simply 2 things:-
Clove Oil from boots or A few glasses of Brandy.!
Reply:eat panadoL and drink more water...drink lot lot water...
Reply:None at all it won't go away you have a problem which only the dentist will mend.
Reply:Go to the Dentist, it's the only answer sorry! If you listen to the rest you are likely to get an infection which can infect your heart and you may die sorry but those are the hard facts so it's your choice go to a dentist or ?
Reply:I use oil of cloves its wonderfull you put a bit on the tooth within minutes the pain eases. You can get it from the chemist %26amp; its a natural remedy.
Reply:Clove oil and ibuprofen, but trip to dentist advised as it will prob get worse, also swill with salt water
Reply:You can take some Tylenol or Motrin. But that will only be a temporary fix. You should really see a dentist with in a few days so it does not get worse and ends up getting infected.
Reply:Try oil of clovers
Reply:Use whiskey as you would Listerine . gargle and spit. It will numb it for a bit and keep the bottle next to the bed if you wake up from the pain. Old one , but still works, get your tail to the dentist ASAP. Toothaches are a nightmare. Good Luck. Messtograves
Reply:I'm not really big on so-called natural remedies, so I would recommend using the topical gel Anbesol. It's a pain reliever containing 20% benzocaine. You can also take Motrin or Advil. I would also suggest you not wait too long to see a dentist. Your toothache can be a sign of a more serious underlying bacterial infection which, in worst cases, can spread to the brain. Pain reliever should only be used temporarily until you can get an appointment. Good luck
Reply:Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are only a quick temporary fix. Trust me, tooth aches, never ever disappear they just get worse so you're better off going to the dentist and dealing with it. Some dentists operate a Saturday and evening service why don't you make enquiries then you don't have to take time off work.
Reply:there is a local anathestic that you can buy from boots . but it is only a temp- solution.
wil
Reply:the only answer is.. is to see a dentist seriously it could be something more serious.. teeth are precious!
Reply:dont eat sugar and gargle wisky works a treat
Reply:door and string.... but then again, you dont have time do you.
or just wait till you get an abcess and when it bursts in your gum causing your blood to get infected, then die!
i know what id rather pick!
all the time in the world then!! Toodles!!
Reply:if you have time to post this question on yahoo, than you have time to see dentist...
Reply:clove oil
pain killers like paracetamol
Reply:You could try Oragel, that numbs it up, works great for me most of the time.
Also clover oil, aswell as ibrupofen and paractetamol.
Dont take them too often though as you might find yourself throwing up which doesnt help toothache.
I once got a very bad toothache and it was so bad I couldnt care less how many I was taking, toothache eventually went, then I'm sick in the night and toothache is back ten times worse.
Also keep away from all sweet food/drinks, it'll help the toothache and you'll probably lose weight too.
Pharmacys are full of stuff for toothache.
And you will need to go to a dentist eventually, longer you leave it the worse it'll get..
Reply:but some clove oil it usualy costs around 1pound 50 but it really works.
