Lately I have developed a major tooth ache and I dont have any cloves or garlic for a home remedy and am broke. Does anyone know if there is something else that will make the pain stop. PLEASE I HAVENT SLEPT 2 DAYS .... i also quit smoking a week ago could this be causing it?

How do you make a tooth ache go away?
put a peice of ice in the palm of your hand if it doesnt work switch hands
Reply:the only thing you can do is go to the dentist or its just gonna get worse
Reply:Hi there, a good effective method would be to mix warm water with salt, stir it and gargle in mouth for ten seconds or longer and spit it out. This will help ease the pain for a while.
Reply:Dentist or painkiller
Reply:stoppin smoking is great. thats the best thing you can do for yourself - smart decision...

about your teeth... see your dentist!
Reply:Visit the dentist or put ice cubes on the affected tooth for temporary relief..
Reply:go see a dentist if u cant brush your teeth floss, wash mouth out with listerine 3 times a day and go buy the numbing agent for babies when they teeth that might help
Reply:No quiting smoking does not give you a tooth ache. How ever you can get a tiny trial size bottle of brandy and rub a dab of it on your tooth and your gum in front and behind your painful tooth... after a few minutes the pain will go away and you can fall fast asleep! The brandy will numb the pain!
Reply:Its easy, stump your thumbs with nails

LoLzzz sorry it was only joking

I have an idea... but this one is nasty (but it really works!!!)

Catch a snail and use its glue and put it on your aching teeth

It will reduce your toothache

Its worth trying *_*
Reply:Quitting smoking won't cause that. Try to put an aspirin against the offending tooth and let it dissolve. That's a temporary fix. A round of broad spectrum antibiotics would be ideal if you can get ahold of some amoxicillan. When you can afford to, if it's still hurting go to the dentist. You might even consider pawning something so you can afford the visit. There is nothing worse than a bad tooth and you have my sympathies. Good luck.
Reply:go see a dentist! try and pull the tooth out go to the tool cupbord/ box and grab apair of pliers or use the old string and door trick.

you never know it could be all in the mind.

have you tried aspirin/ paracetamol etc?

ask a friend to hit you somewhere else about your body to get you mind off the tooth ache?

just a few thoughts. i can't guarantee anyof them but good luck and get well soon.
Reply:Smoking can cause oral decay after prolonged use (years), since I don't your dental medical history I cant say for sure. Do you brush at least once a day, floss and what not? If not it may not be from the smoking. you could* have cavity. Try dissolving an Advil tablet on the tooth, or any aspirin (Acetaminophen) I think there's stuff you can buy from the store specifically for tooth ache. Its like a gel you put on the tooth. Hope that helps man.
Reply:maybe, but you could try rinsing you mouth with some salt water, it works for me sometimes, just add a half teaspoon of salt to some water and gargle with it, but try and see a dentist some how, maybe go to your local health dept. or something, haveing a tooth ache is the pit's.

hope this helps
Reply:Remove the tooth, the toothache will go away!
Reply:Like others have said, only a dentist will be able to alleviate your pain. Your tooth may be abscessed and, if so, you need to take care of it immediately. I have had more than I care to remember, and they create one of the worst pain. When I have been unable to get to the dentist right away, I have used tea bags. Wet one slightly and then bite on it, but not hard enough to release the tea. The tanic acid in the tea eases the pain temporarily. I also take two Excedrin and that usually helps.
