pain is pain. call your dentist.
Reply:It's probably a big cavity with decay that is approaching the pulp, which means that you could need a root canal if the cavity gets too deep. Spontaneous pain is not a good sign.
Reply:Yes it is normal for a tooth ache to worsen at night. It could be a minor cavity that has begun to reach the nerve. I would recommend a dentist asap to prevent further damage.
Reply:Mine does, usually i just lay down with some ice n take some alieve n it goes away after i fall asleep. You might wanna take some PM medicine to make sure you can sleep but be careful about how much medicine you take and what you mix. I feel like they get worst at night but the best thing you could do is go see your dentist.
Reply:yes you need to see a DDS, the reason your tooth is hurting at night is because your brain is at rest. During the day we are out doing things keeping busy so, at night when all is calm thats when the pain worsens...sensitivity to cold is not good, get it checked out, could be bad cavity, if it becomes sensitive to heat then you have real trouble...good luck
Reply:How can you be NOT sure you have a tooth ache?

When you have it, you ARE sure.

If it's sensitive to cold, you need to see a dentist.

As for pain stronger at night, yes, it happens and not only with teeth. I once had a doctor explained to me why it happens, but I forgot.

Anyway, do not try to cure any medical or dental problem on-line. See a dentist.
Reply:It hurts more at nite cuz you're not too busy . your mind is not as active.you are dwelling on it. see a dentist or take aspirin.
Reply:I don't know if it's normal or not--and I'm not lying or trying to scare you but you should go and see a dentist because a boy died from a tooth infection that spread to his brain. So I would get that checked out in a hurry.
