My tooth has been hurting for the last few weeks. It's not only hypersensitive(which came from brushing to hard), but hurts when i chew. I'm 20 and take pretty good care of my teeth. I plan on visiting a dentist soon, but im wondering whats causing the pain in the first place. Has anyone else experienced this?
Tooth Ache Help!?
there could be many things that could be causing the pain.
i know somebody who seemed to experience what you are and he let it bother him for a few months. when he finally went to the dentist, he was told to get a root canal, which he did and now he doesnt experience the pains anymore.
only the dentist can tell you for sure what is causing the pain.
Reply:yank it out..
Reply:put brandy on it
Reply:just go to the dentist
Reply:I have been since I went to the dentist a month ago. It hurts so bad. It has gotten better though. You probably need a filling, that's what helped me! GO TO THE DENTIST WHENEVER YOU HAVE A CONCERN!
Reply:A cavity is the likely culprit. The dentist should be able to fix this pretty easily. Don't put it off any longer.
Reply:* to get rid of the pain take motril or something that eases your pain
* eat soft foods
* maybe get tooth pain medicine
Reply:To help your toothache, try putting some whiskey on it
;)
Reply:You're never had a cavity before!!!!! I hate you.
Reply:Clove oil:Is great to use for toothaches. Apply a little on the affected tooth for some time and then rinse with warm water. Boil 5 grams of fresh peppermint in 1 cup water with a little salt. And rinse mouth well with this .Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol which relives pain .Try out http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/ for more details.

Reply:You could have a low grade infection or the tooth could have some structural problems; but of course only the dentist can really tell what's going on. Since you're having this persisent pain I recommend that you see the dentist as soon as possible. Don't put it off. The sooner you get it taken care of the better things will be.
Reply:You are talking to right person.First get some clove oil dab on and around tooth ,keep tongue away as it burns a little but this is the stuff dentists use to numb.Everyday brusg gently with sensitive toothpaste it takes 3 weeks to reach its full protective level.Also put a blob on and around tooth and dont rinse ,just leave it.If you find pain immense at times then take an anti inflammatory tablet.Pain could be just from sensitivity,or a cracked tooth,or you clench your teeth at night and put pressure on them.If this is so buy a cheap soft mouthguard from a sports store for the night to protect teeth,has to be a soft one,mould it in hot water.Here in Australia it is called shock doctor Hope it helps.
