Whats best for tooth ache solpadol or co-codamol?

ive got a really bad tooth ache and cant get to dentist until tomorrow my mother inlaw has some prescription solpadol and co-codamol that she gets from her doctor i dont like taking pills but am desparate which one do you think would work best just to get me through tonight.

Whats best for tooth ache solpadol or co-codamol?
co codamol will be stronger than paracetamol, but I think that solphadol is just the same drug but soluble. they will work quicker as they get into your bloodstream faster. Be careful though, don't take more per day than you are instructed to.
Reply:Orajel.
Reply:Neither - a good punch in the mouth often works!!!
Reply:soluble would be best try too keep it in your mouth as long as possible
Reply:co-codamol try clove oil if you can get some doesn't taste too great but dab some on the effected area and it numbs it for a while can use it as many times as you like
Reply:tell you what asprin always helps me with toothache
Reply:ibuprofen and paracetamol but only take the reccomended dose ok. x
Reply:They are the same thing just solpadol is the branded product and in some packs contains caffeine. The strongest pain killer you can get over the counter is called paramol, it is a combination of paracetamol and dihydrocodeine it is more effective than co-codamol. Hope this helps x
Reply:I would probably go with ibuprofen if I were you but if it is that bad there are dentists on call 24/7. They charge a bit more but if it is that bad maybe worth it. ALternatively try the local A %26amp; E Dept
Reply:They're both the same, just that solpadol is dissolvable. You can take either of them, and you can take some ibuprofen with it because they act in different ways (up to 800mg which is prescription strength, make sure you eat something when you take it, otherwise it will irritate your stomach - and you can take that 3 times a day, but not for longer than a week).
Reply:Any of the two and you can also take some paracetamol with them but not too many
