How to get rid of a tooth ache?

Yesterday I had this really really really acidic sour lollipop and I knew it would be worse than a cavity on a stick, so right after I finished it I brushed my teeth, but now I have a really bad tooth ache...any ideas how to get rid of it? I don't want to go to a dentist, or take any drugs...

How to get rid of a tooth ache?
I have toothaches too. You may want to try switching your toothpaste to a formula for sensitive teeth. The key with that is after your teeth stop hurting, continue to use the sensitive teeth formula. I have found that rinsing with luke warm salt water helps. Also, there is stuff on the market that is called Zilactin-b. It's a lot like orajel, but is formulated to not rub off the tooth. It numbs and allows you to eat and drink, so the medicine stays put. Colgate also makes a paste pain reliever, called Orabase- you can find them where ever you get orajel.

I also have found that brushing my teeth, then rinsing with equal parts hydrogen peroxide and luke warm water, then with your favorite flavor of Listerine helps too.

I also take aleve for the pain.

These are only temporary solutions. The only thing that you can do permanently, is to see a dentist. If none of these suggestions help, you may actually have a tooth infection, in which case you will have to seek medical help.
Reply:Well a good saltwater rinse is good make sure you use warm water tho use the whole glass and just swish and spit it kills infections and plac
Reply:Apply a little clove oil on the tooth and around it. It will sting for a few seconds and the pain will go away.
