What could be the cause of a tooth ache that throbs 1 week pre-menstrually?

I have a tooth on the bottom that only aches (it throbs) one week pre-menstrually.

It has been just a touch grey for years (but hardly noticeable) and doesn't feel cold sensations but the dentist said the tooth is more or less healthy.

My dentist has never heard of this, so I am looking for ideas, especially from someone in the dental field or someone who has had it happen to them.

Thanks.

If your dentist is not familiar with this you should find another dentist. Perhaps a woman dentist would be able to answer your questions. I have discovered that male medical practitioners are frequently unable to discover underlying problems in female symptoms.
Reply:I think you lost one root, maybe not two, thai is probably you have some sensation, the darknes its maybe because of the root that might be dead. Do a root canal, but first change your dentist.

You pain during your pre-menstrual cycle is because we retain water those days, and it makes the teeth thighter to your gums.
Reply:THE TOOTH IS NON VITAL, YOU NEED A ROOT CANAL ON IT
