Tooth ache at back of mouth?
Certainly sounds like a wisdom tooth problem. I would call your dentist again and tell them how much pain you are in and if they could see you sooner. If they still say no can do ask to be put on list to be called if there is a cancellation. Ask what you can do for relief of pain. Call them everyday too that will probably help. Go to the office nd let them see how your hurting. Harder to say no to a person in pain straight to their face. Ask to see MD and yes, you'll wait.
Reply:Yes, demand an emergency appointment, because it sounds like you have a dental infection. I suffer from them, and if you don't get this treated right away your infection can spread, and if it goes to other bodily systems it can make you very sick, even become deadly if left unchecked long enough. Call your dentist and demand an emergency appointment, and if they won't take you, go to the emergency room or your regular doctor. I cannot stress enough how dangerous this can become. Call them back right away!
Reply:You need a new dentist. This is an emergency. If you are swollen, you have an infection. This can be very serious. Even though a wisdom tooth is not fully erupted, it can become infected and cause serious problems. You will be given an antibiotic for the infection. I would call another dentist, or even your dentist, and explain that you are swollen. They will then know you have an infection. You could also call an oral surgeon, as many general dentists don't "do" wisdom teeth, and refer to oral surgeons. Please get attention, soon, even an emergency room can get you some pain relief and something for the infection.

Good luck.
Reply:If you are in that much pain than eather make an emergency appointment or switch dentists. If you explained how much pain you were in they should have scheduled an emergency appointment asap. Good luck!!
