Tooth Ache even after seeing the dentist! ARGH!?

So I've been having this overwhelming ache in the right rear area of my teeth. Unfortunately x-rays and probing tests cannot pinpoint which teeth is causing me so much pain. So they went in there and fixed two cavities that might be causing it and redid a third filling that was breaking up.

The pain came back right after the novacaine wore off. Even with hydrocodone it's still hurting like hell. The weird thing is warm/hot water makes the pain intensify A LOT to a 9 out of 10. While, cool water makes the pain dull to a 1 out of 10. I'm normally sensitive to cold water. What's going on here?!

pain with heat is typically a sign of a dying nerve. but if you or they can't pinpoint it, you don't want to do a root canal just yet.

however since you just had 3 fillings replaced it is also typical for the fillings to be sensitive as they are a 'conductor' right to the nerve.
